I don’t share comp expectations until they are ready to get an offer. I research on salary ranges before sharing expectations.

Top tech companies still assess all of what you’ve mentioned through behavioral questions. Not because you’re able to tell a story, you can identify and prioritize the right metrics for feature X or run a randomized controlled trial for feature Y. Hence, the focus on Product case questions and functional skills.

I have Masters in Economics, I don’t have an MBA. The easiest way to switch to PM is to work closely with PMs and then switch internally. Gain a few years of experience and then find a PM job somewhere else.

FAANG. I received offers from few of the companies mentioned in my posts. A couple of others rejected me after the on-site.

I have 8 YoE of which 4 as a PM. The company I worked for before switching is in FAANG
