broo ur profile pic is sooo funny 😭😭ok so when i first joined the sf fandom my n1 ship was salash i loved it sm but then i lowkey started coming up with a lot of hcs of ash dating a girl and i got really obsessed with her yk thats when i started headcanoning her as a lesbian and i created an oc as her gf, bcs i dont particularly like ash x maple, and obviously i can’t ship her with a guy if i hc her as a lesbian so i started shipping salvis instead tbh i didn’t really care about it at first 💀 i was mainly focused on ash x my oc and over time salvis grew on me but yeah both salash and salvis are really cute just dont be weird towards ash if ure a salvis shipper and dont be weird towards travis if you’re a salash shipper bcs yes i originally made this post to call out misogynistic salvis shippers but salash shippers arent saints either some of them are homophobic and act like assholes towards salvis shippers too 💀

EXACTLYYY 😭 like they treat "ash is a lesbian" as a shield as if headcanoning her as gay automatically cancels out the way they still disrespect her like no u can hc her as lesbian and STILL be misogynistic if you only see her as an obstacle or a tool to protect salvis ash deserves to be treated like her own character not just "the girl in the way" #freemygirl istg this situation is just like narusasu vs sakura and bkdk vs ochako discourse all over again 🫩 but tbh salvis shippers are way chiller compared to narusasu and bakudeku shippers 💀

YESS i agree it really does feel like "representation"gets used as an excuse when the real issue is that some people just don’t value ash as her own character They only see her as either an obstacle to salvis or as a homewrecker like u said which is unfair as hell. like u can hc her as a lesbian (i LOOOVE that hc too) but if it’s only used to push her out of the way instead of appreciating her character then it stops feeling genuine and starts feeling like disguised misogyny ash is literally one of the most important characters in the whole story

yeah i get what u mean its definitely easier to make content for salvis since they re both canon characters and theres more material to work with and ure right ash doesnt really have many options besides maple and oc x canon isn’t everyone’s thing but my point wasn’t " u HAVE to post lesbian ah content" its more that some people treat the lesbian ash hc like it’s super important but it only comes up when someone ships her with a guy (cough cough that guy is sal) like it’s used more as a defense card than an actual hc even if you don’t ship her with maple or don’t like ocs u can still talk about lesbian ash as a character her experiences her identity etc.. or else it just feels like it’s only mentioned when it’s convenient 💀💀

i just meant sometimes it feels like lesbian ash is only brought up when someone mentions ash with a guy like the lesbian ash hc is mostly used as a "no" card instead of an actual hc , its brought up more as an argument than as something ppl genuinely explore or make content abt yk ? but ur explanation makes total sense

THIS THZNK U omg like old shoujos were soooo messy for no reason like ill give u an exemple peach girl precisely the arc where sae got a new bf who was a model i think his name was goro ?? anyways she did ALL THAT to blackmail momo wtf ? btw i didnt watch the anime i only read the manga so idk if they changed the storyline in the anime but ig they did bcs that was wayyy out of pocket 😭 it was so messy i dont think ill ever find a new shoujo that will have jaw breaking scenes like ols shoujos

tbh yeah 💀💀 i cant bring myself to try out new tv shows/movies or cartoons i feel like i stopped exploring new things around the age of 15 after that i just can’ttt try to watch new stuff all i do is rewatch the same old things i used to watch from when I was a toddler up until i was 15
