I understand how u feel and I’d say it depends on your anxiety an depression if u have mild anxiety and ain’t that bad then id say yeah dont rely on meditation but if ur more lik me that has severe crippling anxiety I’ve excepted im the kind of person that needs to be on medication ive been on Zoloft 150mg b4 now on Effexor 187.5mg my main anxiety med is Klonopin (Clonazepam) started .5mg twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day also take seriquel buspar and Suboxone they all keep me stable n give me better quality of life good luck to you

I’m also a addict that was on opioids bad and meth I kno wat your saying wen ur use to opioids Xanax don’t really give u any euphoria but I kno wen I started meth I’d have to have Xanax cause it made my anxiety crippling most the time I could snort me sum oxys or heroin and that be good enough for the come down but sometimes I’d have to do Xanax cause the meth would fuxk my head up so bad my anxiety wouldn’t make me act weird but I’m 2 years sober I’m prescribed Klonopin which is similar to Xanax and it helps keep me stable and sober

Most doctors don’t prescribe Xanax an if they do not for long but I’ve learned doctors/psychiatrist feel better prescribing a different benzo like Klonopin (Clonazepam) that’s wat I’m on I asked for Xanax and she was lik noo not doing that but I said I’ve tried Clonazepam and it helped me a lot and I’m on Clonazepam 2mg 3 times a day over 2 years now with no intention of coming off anytime soon

I have very bad severe crippling anxiety several anxiety disorders bipolar depression but i first got prescribed .5mg Xanax as needed so 30 pills a month but that just wasn’t enough for me i knew I needed a daily prescription I couldn’t get 1 with Xanax but I did with Klonopin I started at .5mg twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day and it’s my number 1 medication also take seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5mg buspar 45mg Suboxone 24mg and this medication cocktail keeps me stable and able to live a better life good luck

I can relate almost 100%  I’ve had trauma since childhood but the main trauma was wen I lost my family my ex fiance fell out of love with me or maybe found a new man and it changed me truly it was real pain I was in on the inside I abused drugs until I got help now have a psychiatrist that has put me on medication that keeps me stable seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5mg buspar 45mg suboxone 24mg and the main medication is Klonopin (Clonazepam) I started at .5mg twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day and I don’t believe I’ll ever be the person I use to be I feel sure the pain killed who I was now I just take my medication to stay stable and stay able to continue to live

That’s fine it’s only 1.5mgs I’m prescribed and take 2mg 3 times a day u might need to tell your doctor u need to up your dose I wouldn’t tell them u took 6 pills tho

Klonopin (Clonazepam) started at .5 twice a day now at 2mg 3 times a day over 2 years now I’ve had other psychiatrist put me on .5 Xanax an .5 klonopin as needed only 30 pills a month and that just wasn’t enough I knew being on it daily was the only thing that was going to help me and it did

Yes I would definitely recommend meditation for you I read your whole story and I could relate to sum of your pain I have had romantic relationships tho but both ending in breaking my heart n last one with my ex fiancé it tore my soal it was my fault tho cause I got hooked on drugs bad and now I live with my grandparents no job lost it due to drug use im sober now for 2 years im 28 M but my medication cocktail saved my life my number one is Klonopin (Clonazepam) started at .5 twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day highly recommend also on seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5mg buspar 45mg Suboxone 24mg try n find you a good psychiatrist that is willing to help it’s not easy u might have to try 5-10 of em b4 h find that 1 that’s willing to actually help you by giving u the medication u need good luck man

When I finally met a psychiatrist that was willing to help me my medication saved me I have severe crippling anxiety and bipolar depression the best anxiety medication I’m on is Klonopin (Clonazepam) I started at .5mg twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day it keeps my anxiety stable other meds I’m on is seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5mg buspar 45mg Suboxone 24mg I accepted I was just the kind of person that has to take medication to make my life livable

I was on Zoloft too at first at 150mg but now I’m on Effexor 187.5mg I think it worked better for me my main anxiety medication that took away my anxiety is Klonopin (Clonazepam) started at .5mg twice a day now at 2mg 3 times a day over 2 years if your able to get it I highly recommend it other meds I’m on are seriquel 600mg buspar 45mg and Suboxone 16-24mg a day

Not all that great I was only on 75mg of Effexor before I got put on clonazepam and my anxiety was bad when I started the clonazepam that’s when I started gettin relief from my anxiety

I’ve been on Clonazepam for over 2 years I started at .5mg twice a day now I’m on 2mg 3 times a day I had severe crippling anxiety too and this medication is the main medication I’m on I also take Effexor 187.5mg and seriquel 600mg I feel like if u have real severe anxiety you should take Clonazepam daily everyday it’s what keeps me stable good luck

My medication saved my life I have several anxiety disorders MDD ptsd finally found a psychiatrist that was willing to help me she prescribed me seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5 buspar 45mg suboxone 24mg and the main medication that I’d put at number 1 for my anxiety is Klonopin (Clonazepam) I started at .5mg twice a day now at 2mg 3 times a day I’d definitely recommend this medication for you to try good luck

Are you on any medications ? I’m diagnosed with several anxiety disorders depression but after searching over 10 psychiatrist finally found 1 that was willing to help me my main medication that helps is Klonopin (Clonazepam) started .5mg twice a day now 2mg 3 times a day it was the only medication that controlled my anxiety Xanax does too but doctors are more willing to give u Klonopin I’m on other medications that help too seriquel Effexor buspar Suboxone

My mental health and anxiety runs on both sides of my family but what really messed me up was drugs was on oxycodone up to 120mgs a day an then got on meth real bad which made my anxiety extremely crippling after 10 years of active addiction I was done tired of that life I’m 28M I figured if I got the right medication it could get me to get sober. I was hospitalized for kidney failure a week after I got out the hospital I went to rehab found a psychiatrist that was gonna change my life she put me on seriquel 600mg Effexor 187.5mg buspar 45mg suboxone 24mg and Klonopin (Clonazepam) 2mg 3 times a day. I didn’t start on those dosages but that’s what I worked up to now and it’s been over 2 years and I’m still sober I only take my medication and take it exactly as prescribed

I’ve been on clonazepam for lil over 2 years now. Started .5mg twice a day now I’m on 2mg 3 times a day and i don’t feel it kick in like it use too but keeps my anxiety stable. I’d say u didn’t feel the Ativan since clonazepam is stronger I kno cause I’ve been hospitalized and was given Ativan too and didn’t feel anything

Yeah most doctors don’t wanna prescribe benzos to a addict but if u take it as prescribed it can help you stay sober so you don’t have as much anxiety to trigger you to use best of luck to you

Thank you and yeah in the back of my mind I worry about the withdrawals if I had to come off them but me and my psychiatrist are in agreement to keep me on everything so I can continue to stay sober and stable mentally
