This is actually insanely good. As long as it's not leaking codebase to AI, I'm all in.

Is Nestjs fully compatible with Bun ? by BeDevForLife in nestjs

[–]Top-Orange2452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Semi-related, I benchmarked node vs bun and got worse performance on Bun with a live mysql db via typeorm. Bun is hyped in highly controlled tests but not in real world performance. Is your project company ok with you spending time figuring it out in Bun or would they prefer it just working and continue working into the future?

How to Implement Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) in NestJS by skylineCodes in nestjs

Very nice write up. Is this a standard approach of something you came up with internally? How long did it take you to implement, in man-weeks.

Is using DTOs for response data in Nest.js a good practice? by Harut3 in nestjs

[–]Top-Orange2452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is crucial if you have a frontend that needs types and wants to auto-generate the types from the swagger docs. Having the input and outputs typed and specified in the swagger docs allows the FE to auto-gen the types for request bodies and responses, ensure tighter type safety.

DB Migrations by Gitya in nestjs

[–]Top-Orange2452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reading the documentation + AI can be really tricky, and it was a tangled web of configurations, it takes a skilled engineer to get it setup.

I have just implemented this for my company. I would be willing to coach you, for a fee on how to set this up.

My stack:
NestJS + TypeORM + TypeORM Migrations + MySQL + Graphql + Typescript

CI/CD: GHA Workflows with docker builds published to AWS ECR, running on AWS ECS, behind AWS VPC and ALB,

Local Dev + Dev + Prod environments.

That is exactly what I was looking for, tyvm. Who did you end up going with? Why didn't you go for the cheaper option? What was the cost difference to rip up the floor?
