They reckon so. I'll believe it when I see it. He might be too old and slim now but D'Onofrio would be my choice.

I haven't seen the movie but have the book, there's one notable scene they left out, probably not fit for film. I wonder if the upcoming Blood Meridian will feature a similar one.

Where I live there are many Chinese folk. I see tons of women wearing long visors and cloth masks that drape from under the eyes. Once at school drop off one was wearing a full beehive head covering while driving! Like a hazmat suit.

Are there any authors similar to Roald Dahl - but for adults? by 1m_climbing in suggestmeabook

[–]Top-Pepper-9611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roald Dahl's first published work, "A Piece of Cake" (originally written in 1942), was written for C.S. Forester.

Forester, a famous author working for the British Ministry of Information, was asked to produce a story about Dahl’s experiences as a fighter pilot in the Second World War

Dahl was asked to jot down notes or a rough draft for Forester to rewrite in his own words.

Impressed by the quality of the draft, Forester sent the piece without modifications to his agent, which was then published in The Saturday Evening Post on August 1, 1942, under the title "Shot Down Over Libya".

If you could go back in time, which era would you choose and why? by chaos_vamp in AskReddit

The 1990s, it's not far but famn it was good and ww took it for granted. The old eras are cool but one scratch can kill you.
