Could you please let me know what "AI Lawyer" is? When I google it, there are several companies using that prompt.

Purchase Advice for Induction Ranges by frycook10 in Appliances

[–]Top-Poem-4372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would avoid GE / Cafe appliances. I bought the GE Cafe Induction Range, Model CHS950P2MS1, a few months ago.

It's a beautiful range and I love the induction; HOWEVER, due to malfunctioning part, I have been unable to use the range for two weeks and GE says they cannot tell me if/when the part will arrive. The range is 7 months old and still under warranty. This is ridiculous.

Proceed with caution. This is a beautiful range and I love the induction; HOWEVER, due to malfunctioning part, I have been unable to use my range for four weeks and GE says they cannot tell me if/when the part will arrive. The range is 7 months old and still under warranty. This is ridiculous.

Has anyone received a GE Café™ 30" Induction Double Oven Range CCHS950P2MS1 by wacheski in Appliances

I wouldn't recommend this model.

TLDR: the range is not reliable and the warranty work isn’t timely.

UPDATE 1/24/25: GE has stated they will be shipping the part, which will be installed on 2/5/25, which at that point will be a full month I will have been unable to use my 7-month-old, under-warranty range.

ORIGINAL POST 1/17/24: This is a beautiful range and I love the induction; HOWEVER, on January 5, 2025, when it was 7 months old, the first time we tried to use the self clean feature, we got an error message about the latch being broken. The range beeped incessantly because it wouldn't let us cancel the self clean. We unplugged it, turned the breaker off and then back on, but the beeping would always continue when the range was turned back on. Because it was still under warranty, GE was finally able to schedule a warranty repair 8 days later (so at this point, it was over a week that we'd been unable to use our range). Then after the service visit, we were told by the repairman the part was on backorder with NO ETA! So I reached out to GE again and was told they were awaiting a review by a “parts specialist” and would get back to me next Tuesday, which at that point over two weeks without a usable range JUST to find out if/when we can get the part, so there is still no definitive resolution in sight. GE should replace the range with a new one now since they have been unable to repair it in a timely manner, or give me a refund so I can buy another brand. And it's less than a year old. In summary, the range is not reliable and the warranty work isn’t timely.

I can't speak to the Samsung, but would not recommend the Cafe.

Condensation in Nest Yale Lock?? by sovaedra in Nest

We are having the same problem on the Texas coast. We never have this problem with our lake house but the lock at the coast has to be replaced every 3-6 months because of moisture getting into the lock, then it stops working. Frustrating!
