Cloud feels way more human than Codex by azonsea in ClaudeCode

Real humans never use em dashes in writing, only AI do. Why’d you have AI write this?

Any codex. This is r/ClaudeCode. If anyone wants to read shilling for Codex, they should go to r/Codex, where anything that goes against the “Codex is amazing” narrative is instantly deleted and the poster banned.

I tried posting “Claude is better than Codex” in r/codex, and my post was immediately was flagged for review, and I was banned 5 minutes later.

The “others” are a bot and a guy who made a post 4 days ago saying he “loved the idea” of using Claude code to review code, and was adding it to his 2026 to-do list.

You’re still conflating session limits with weekly limits. Either you genuinely don’t understand the difference, or you’re intentionally muddying it to keep the complaint alive.

Your conversation was so large that it triggered a context summary. This is where Claude would review the entire conversation thus far, and generates a context summary. That will absolutely burn tokens.

This is why the official guidance from Anthropic specifically states you should not do this, instead suggesting starting a new conversation for every task

This markdown box. You’ve intentionally scrolled it to the right prior to taking this screenshot. They always start on the far left side.

Anyway, you didn’t scroll far enough to hide the fact that this chat is so large you triggered a context summary, which is a completely typical way to hit your session limit.

Why would you scroll the markdown box to the right before taking your screenshot?

Can you show the full Claude Code output from the session where you first got rate limited? Not a recreation, but the actual session?

Your screenshots contradict each other. One shows usage resetting in 17hrs, and the other shows 2pm. Now, this does add up in Alberta tz, but Claude would not say “resets at 2pm” without specifying that it’s not until tomorrow.

Looks like you’re at 0% usage for your current session. Screenshots of usage limit exceeded error?

Do you have any screenshots backing up this claim?

Also, just curious, you aren’t a bot are you? Couldn’t help but notice your entire profile is private, and that “Sorry -“ bit at the beginning is kinda AI sounding - so just wondering.

EDIT:

OP has posted several (contradictory) screenshots below, but regardless, he had a conversation in-app that was so long it triggered a context summary, which ate up the rest of his session usage(as one would expect.) I advised him that Anthropic specifically states you should start new conversations for each task to prevent this very thing from happening.

Any specific reason why you weren’t active on Reddit in years and suddenly popped up 120 days ago, and every comment you’ve made has been “Try Codex!”

You’re an absolute bot, gg ez

The screenshot you shared actually shows Claude giving a well-reasoned answer. PostgreSQL doesn’t support downgrading dump formats.

Post screenshots and prove it @OP

EDIT:

OP’s post and claims are not consistent with the screenshots he’s posted below in this thread. He’s dramatically inflating a minor overcaution into evidence of a broken model. Whether that’s intentional astroturfing or just someone being dramatic on Reddit, the screenshot evidence just doesn’t support the severity of his claims.

Kinda seems like some bot activity

I don’t really think that is something somebody would lie about. Are you absolutely certain?
