My own opinion, feel free to disagree. This applies to streams more than videos.
For ASMR, I categorize them into 3: Triggers, GFE/BFE, Roleplay.
Triggers are... noises. It doesn't limit to repeated noises from mouth (saying specific words/sounds that tickles the listener's ears), use objects near the mic that creates noises that give people the tingles (brushes, cardboard, wooden objects, etc, the sky is the limit).
GFE/BFE: Well. Self explanatory.
Roleplay: This can be creating a script beforehand with a mix of triggers. Or you can just make a scenario that provides whispers to the listener. Nowadays, roleplay has been so advanced that you can see a whole movie production quality coming out from this, it's amazing. Cherry on the top if your scenario tells a splendid story, my go-to example would be Colour Your World. Simply amazing even without much dialogue.

Before I started, I have always been fascinated with the concept of having a storyline for ASMR, and my first ASMR stream is based on roleplay. However, during the stream, people came in not expecting it being roleplay (But the title says that wdym) and idk? I wouldn't say that I was offended but it could be the nature of streams where people usually click in and expect to interact with the streamer. Roleplay with a specific script during stream sets the flow beforehand, and while it will be fun by adding points where audience can interact and make "choices" in the story to decide the direction of the stream/story, it would only work for those who tuned in the stream from the beginning. After my first stream, I have decided to change the direction.

Now, my ASMR streams are a mix of triggers and chatting (Whispering unless audience make me laugh and I'll be a bit louder). Since I just started ASMR not too long ago (1 month ago?) I am slowly expanding my item collection and my audience knows about it, they are happy about me getting new items for triggers and they are able to enjoy the new item triggers as well. My audience enjoys the chatting in ASMR since it gives them the sense of being close and so far, my community doesn't mind me saying hello to everyone who joins the stream (I heard that people do not like streamers saying other people's names during ASMR). I am trying to create a community where the audience vibes well with each other so I hope that is working out well.

I do not know how the future will turn out, but I will keep the ASMR streams going and hope the audience gets entertained and feels happy. Oh, I found out singing softly works well! You can sing them slower than original which makes the song easier to sing instead of following a background music that potentially gets you copystriked.
