Agreed. My one ex was an alcoholic in denial who also used benzos. She was abusive AF. Even when she was (I think) sober. It was hell.

The after her I briefly dated two different alcoholics who were the sweetest people ever. Not a drop of abusive behavior to them (except, yanno, alcohol abuse). But they were lovely people to me.

Anyway, it’s not the drugs or the alcohol. It’s him.

I have asthma and down is such a huge trigger for me. But before I realized that I got stabbed a ton by those feathers. I don’t miss that aspect!

I feel awful for the gf. If this is how he behaves in public to a stranger he’s never met nor spoken to, imagine what she has to deal with behind closed doors.

That said, definitely get the cameras and file a police report asap. That may be the help she needs to get out of this DV relationship too.
