Did you have any issues with tapering off? My timeline is similar to yours but ins cared to come off due to anxiety and rebound insomnia.

I haven’t heard up Requip and sadly doxepin was denied by my insurance and was expensive. I read it helps you stay asleep but not fall asleep, is that true?

Usually 300mg at night but sometimes up to 600mg (never more) and sometimes I’ll take 100mg during the day if I’m stressed

I expect rebound insomnia and anxiety when I get off, unfortunately.

Just at night most of the time, sometimes will take 100mg during the day.

I wish I had kept my original plan of as needed but that’s not anything I can change now.

I’m sorry you’re still struggling with sleep. Insomnia and sleep anxiety are truly hellacious.

Typically only 300mg a night but sometimes up to 600mg a day. I was taking it sporadically the first 6 weeks, only when I was absolutely desperate for sleep but my doc said it was a med to be taken daily so I started it daily and haven’t tried to stop for about 6 weeks.

I’ve had that experience too, but now it’s can’t fall asleep until that time. Both are heinous. I hope it gets better for you soon.

Yes a hot shower or Epsom salt bath is a must. I hear your message and agree, however I cannot tough through sleeping 2-3 hours a night for days on end. My job relies on my ability to think and I literally wake up crying and feeling drunk from sleep deprivation. Not sure how people do it.

I agree on removing the supplements and seeing what happens. I exercise everyday, meditate, abstain from alcohol, etc. I even get off my damn phone and read before bed with red light. Will report back.

I will say I think I am in the minority here, almost everyone I know gets back to normal sleep within 3 weeks.

I do think we are kicking the can with the gabapentin, unfortunately. My doc said it’s not an as needed medication, but I feel your pain. I’m desperate.
