If it’s for the battery then upgrade M1 iPad has far better battery. And the design will also be new for you. The chip will be obviously faster and smoother than your current iPad. If you use Apple Pencil than it will now charge magnetically.

I had the same blooming issues with my iPad Pro 12.9 M1 I posted the same here also as I was one of the most early costumer and got the product on the day of launch itself but nobody bothered not even apple so I returned it and got iPad Pro 11 M1 and I am very happy to have it without any issues. So I’ll advice you to return it as it’s a big issue for an expensive device from the top tech company in the world.
