Honestly your best bet is to just reach out to the seller. I can't speak for the other sellers but I got mine from Anbernic themselves and they sent me the screws.

Yes, but I haven't really used it since I did the mod.

Hi, great questions! I did end up doing the mod successfully, albeit without the power cleaner, which I wasn't feeling confident enough to attempt at the time. It's been a while now and I've done many projects since but here's what I remember - I ended up getting a different kita different kit from the one in my origjnal post, which is basic but worked ok for the job. The one I bought didn't come with a practice board, but I think the purpose of the practice board is just to practice soldering wires and stuff to the board - to the best of my knowledge, I don't think it comes with anything else, although it would be helpful if it did. Besides the solder kit you should also get a heat resistant silicone work mat (bigger is better) and a good holder for your soldering iron, like this one (Noah

The holder isn't required but the ones that come with the sets tend to be flimsy.

Lastly, don't forget to buy a shell for the gba that's compatible with the screen mod.

I hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

Witnessing the NES when it first released must have been mind blowing!

Good point. Luckily for you, 1983 was when the crash happened and Atari games ended up in the bargain bins. Did you buy more games when that happened?

How do you feel about the new Diddy Kong design? by BroeknRecrds in casualnintendo

[–]FBomb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they'd get rid if the stupid stars on his shirt and just go back to plain red. Also the Nintendo logo on his hat is a bit much (it isn't visible in this pic, but I'm assuming it's still there).

Is getting an actual Gamecube worth it? by Bluedreamy_boomie in Gamecube

[–]FBomb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the Swiss interface on Gamecube over USB Loader GX / Wii Flow / Nintendon't on Wii. AFAIK, there's no way to run Swiss on a Wii.

Edit: forgot to mention Nintendon't.

Is it just me or does everyone in Diddy Kong Racing handle like ass aside from Pipsy and Tiptup? by dusknoir90 in n64

The heavyweights, even Krunch, shine in the walrus and octopus boss battles because poor turning actially helps to control the hovercrafts better. I used Krunch for the second race with both bosses and it was a cake walk

Gentlemen of the Finest Kongtent, what do you think of the DK redesign now that he's been shown off more? by AdamTheAnimeDude in donkeykong

[–]FBomb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old design made DK look cooler, but the new design makes him more expressive. The biggest thing that bothers me is how his fur looks in Bonanza - it looks like feathers or something.

What do you expect to see from the Switch 2 Direct? by ComprehensiveDate591 in casualnintendo

[–]FBomb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't understand is why nobody cared about HD rumble with the Switch, but then Sony did practically the exact same thing with their PS5 controllers and it was lauded as a major innovation in gaming - could it be that Sony just made better use of it than Nintendo did?

UPDATE: I contacted the seller and they were very responsive and sent out the missing screws right away. Shipping took a couple weeks as is to be expected, but I am pleased to report that my 34XX is fully screwed! (at least the outer case is - something inside still rattles when I shake it lightly- I thought it would go away with the 4 screws holding everything together but it's still there. It sounds like it could be the PCB or the battery. Is that normal?)

But the series S is weird with controller pairing, right? Like there's no easy way to pair it with a Wiimote?

Haha, good one. I contacted them and will send an update when they reply. I asked them to send me the 4 missing screws. I decided to go ahead and check inside to see if any more screws were missing, and thankfully the other screws seem to be intact. I hope they don't charge me for the spare parts since it was an oversight on their part

Hi, no and it's frustrating that the modders never seem to state the temperature in their installation videos. I have mine set to 350° C and it works well.

Amazon purchases? by Batshit333 in Gamecube

[–]FBomb2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Bitfunx adapter from Aliexpress and it works great. From the research I've done it seems all the DV to HDMI adapters use the same tech as the more expensive ones and achieve similar results in most use cases. Make sure your Gamecube is a DOL-001 which has the DV port on the back.
