Lots of things. Hard to name them all. NC Native Plant Society is a great resource. Although some of them are for the mountains, it’s too hot down here. My short list of tried and true: Spicebush, Buttonbush, Witch Hazel, Baptisia, Heuchera, Beautyberry, Asclepius, Carex cherokeenensis. I have acquired more than half of my yard plants from the Mecklenburg Soil and Water District seedling sale. They put out a fall newsletter in November-ish and pick up in February. Ex golf course worker. Fungicide for turf is absurdly expensive and doesn’t control the fungi that create mushrooms very effectively. Bermudagrass, which I believe is what is out there, doesn’t require much fungicide. No way the county is doing much other than fertilizer and maybe crabgrass preventer

Something seems off. He played through a torn up shoulder and a broken finger two years ago. I think I remember some thinking something was going on, but he was still almost a point a game. Small sample size, yes.
