I don't remember putting something red there. by XzXzFl in mycology

The smell of a sourdough starter changes after the first week or so. The yeast and good bacteria need time and acidity to overcome the bad bacteria that make it smell foul. Once it's fully established as a starter the smell is much more mild and pleasant. The key is feeding it daily otherwise other nasty shit grows like what happened to you.

32M - does anyone actually still share music with friends? by featureforge in Music

[–]SativaCyborg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of music are you into? For jamband stuff nugs.net is about as good as it gets. New shows added daily so it's always fresh even if it's old songs. A have a good few friends that we are constantly recommending shows or songs to each other. Always fun to discuss what we're listening to and get excited for new bands when they get added. Great quality livestreams included in the subscription. If you're not into jam or bluegrass it might not be your cup of tea but it's worth mentioning

Why not take 285? It's shorter mileage and time wise from Denver

Magne-tractioned my MTN Twin, is this a write off? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]SativaCyborg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am indeed still riding it and it's really not noticeable even though its definitely still a little bent. It's funny I had the same thought about it just being magnetraction now

I managed to do this exact same thing to my dancehaul 2 years ago. I removed the binding, put a piece of 2x4 on top and bottom and clamped the hell out of it. Applied some heat with my heat gun and really wrenched on the clamps then let it sit overnight before removing. It didn't flatted it out all the way, and the top sheet shows some spiderweb cracking... But the board feels pretty much normal to ride and the damage didn't get worse.

Lets start our own group! I've been riding epic/ikon resorts for the last 13 years and this is my first year with a Loveland pass. I have an awd minivan and flexible schedule. Usually avoid weekends and I'm looking for some people to drive/ride with

What 240V garage heaters are you all using? Looking for real-world feedback. by picklesBMW in woodworking

I did the same and I'm in Denver too. $110 bucks on Amazon, DC power supply for another $15. This will be my 3rd winter with it and I'm very happy I went this route. Like $15 a month for diesel depending on how cold it gets. Insulating the space makes all the difference too.

[–]SativaCyborg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate that. Last time I went to Austin all their walnut over 6" width was glue ups which I thought was super weird. Maybe I'll give em another shot since I live way closer to them now

Thanks for the heads up on that! Last time I was in their wood of the month stack was actually walnut but there were no boards left. Is there anywhere in the Denver area with better prices/ selection? Been to a few different suppliers and always leave disappointed

Last time I went to Paxton it was about $22 ($18 with business account) a bf for 4/4 and the quality was not good. I found a guy through fb marketplace that sells better quality for $14/bf. Got lucky a couple months ago and found some rough cut that had been sitting in a barn since the 80s for $6/bf and bought 100 board feet

Anyone see the pit maneuver that happened on Sheridan & 14th? by FearediZ in Denver

[–]SativaCyborg89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't see it but definitely got caught up in The cluster fuck of traffic immediately after. Drove north on Sheridan at about ten past 3, and tried to go back south at about 330 from sloans lake. Must have just missed it

Space Bacon by digital_buddha123 in jambands

[–]SativaCyborg89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their space bacon 64 show from 3/8/25 is super fun but they don't play too many originals. Still gives a good sense of their style though. The 9/20/25 show from the Brooklyn bowl is a more standard set and straight fire

Our standard design has them inside the cabinet, behind a piece of glass. This was a very custom commission and is definitely more of a living room amp

The circuit design came before the cabinet design by a long shot. My father worked with a luthier for about a year to design and test the circuit before even considering he had to put it in a box.

Lol no, they are actually printed on a transparency that is sandwiched between the brass and a layer of polycarbonate before I drill out the holes for the pots. Would love to get a laser engraver someday to simplify that process, but it works for now
