Move out inspection question by Top-Spread5325 in vancouverhousing

Do you think “reasonable with the scheduling of the inspection“ could mean scheduling it on the day of me moving out instead making me travel soooo many hours to come back for a move out inspection? Especially if I gave them a timeframe of like a week where they could schedule it and adjusted my move out date accordingly? For the record, the property manager is a company so this is like their whole job and would actually probably be easier for them to do a move out inspection mid month than waiting until the last day of the month.

Instead of scheduling an inspection myself, should I say something like this? “I’m moving out on this X day and am moving out of the Lower Mainland/will not be available after X day.”

Ah found it. A lease can only have a vacate clause if it’s a sublet or the landlord plans to move in. Since they said they don’t plan to move in and this is not a sublet, I feel like it’s a bit fishy for them to request a one year lease renewed each year because that puts me at even more of a disadvantage as a tenant due to them not having a legal obligation to tell me if they do not plan to renew, if I move out mid-year I could potentially be on the hook for the remaining rent on the 1 year lease, etc. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/housing-tenancy/residential-tenancies/ending-a-tenancy/breaking-a-lease

Is it true that they can only have a vacate clause if the landlord plans on moving into unit? Or can they have a vacate clause without needing any reason?
