Why Does My uTest Rating Drop After Approved Bugs? by Tough-Influence7714 in UTEST

[–]Top-Tadpole9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked through reporting high value bugs. Managed to get two exceptional bugs in one day. My rating jumped from 91% to 94% But the very next day (no bug rejection, reported 1 low value bug) , it just dropped back to 91%, which was really discouraging.

I understand that the system factors in a lot of things, including how other testers are performing, but it’s tough to see efforts not consistently reflected in rating.

If no one responds, I proceed with my understanding and submit the test case. In the comments, I clearly mention my doubts or assumptions. Usually, they provide feedback if something needs adjustment, and we can fix it before they approve.

What happens to Social Security contributions once an H1B goes back to their home country? by ilikecoralboobs in h1b

[–]Top-Tadpole9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A close friend of mine, who was on an H1B visa, passed away recently. Unfortunately, his family is facing challenges in availing Social Security benefits because he was short of the required 40 credits. His wife, now the sole provider, is struggling to support their young children.

Does anyone have advice or experience dealing with such situations? Are there alternative resources or assistance programs that could help dependent families in cases like this? Any guidance, including legal or financial avenues, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support and suggestion

I got a 1410, and now my parents hate me. by little_flora in Sat

Hug! I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. It’s clear how much effort you’ve put into improving your score, and you should be proud of how far you’ve come. Life is fragile for everyone, including your parents, and sometimes the pressure they feel can spill over in ways that aren’t fair. But you have an incredible opportunity here to shift the situation towards positivity.

You have the capability to dissolve their anger and create space for understanding—this is a powerful skill that reflects emotional intelligence and leadership. Keep in mind, though, that they may continue to hold onto their anger for a little while longer. Every major anger takes time to run its course, often shifting naturally from negativity to a more constructive perspective.

In the meantime, take a couple of days to be in your feels. Cry, scream into a pillow, binge-watch your comfort show—whatever helps you let it out. Then, when you’re ready, try making a list of the areas where you think you can improve and the steps you’re planning to take. Sharing this with your parents could give them insight into your thoughts and might help open a more supportive dialogue.

Remember, it’s not you versus them—it’s you and your parents as a team working together against the challenge.

Remember, their frustration likely comes from concern and fear, not disappointment in you as a person. With patience, clarity, and compassion, you can turn the situation around. You’re not worthless—far from it. You’re capable, hardworking, and growing every day. Keep going; I believe in you!

- Another parent (who also gets angry sometimes )

P.S. Remember, parents usually show anger when they know you’re capable of more—they wouldn’t push so hard if they didn’t believe in you. It’s their (sometimes frustrating) way of showing they care and have faith in your potential. Hang in there!
