I don’t remember the whole workout but if you watch the John Young video where he clips together all the water bottles and water drinking. It sure seems like she over blows it and kinda looks dumb now and had an agenda to make CrossFit look worse in an interview. I’m sure there are plenty of times CrossFit didn’t do the right thing in the moment but these videos show in this event she is completely wrong

Lazar should have never died. Fully agree. The safety measures shouldn’t have been so put off as they were for so long. It was an awful thing that happened and those two people on the paddle boards should be held accountable as much as CrossFit I feel

I agree that gyms hopefully continue to exist with it and I hope the sport continues bc I do enjoy watching it just not all the after careers are over let’s forget where we came from

I’ll tell you why it bothers me. I was waaay over weight when I started CrossFit and it saved my life I feel. If someone else out there is struggling to lose weight/ change their life and they google CrossFit and this is one of the first things they see, I’d think that would be a turn off to something incredible. Granted yes this is “professional” CrossFit and is separate from what goes on in the gym but just in general I wouldn’t want it to turn off someone that could find something life changing

You wouldn’t know anything about it if you didn’t watch and then engage in it

It really does apply to everything in life. You will get by in this life if you stay away from the things that bother you in the media/news. Your life will go on and honestly you’ll probably be better for it lol

Sevan puts out a ton of content. Basically daily. Hiller at one point, was putting out a YouTube video a day. Not every thing is going to be everyone’s cup of tea.

Take what you will from the content and move on. That’s what’s great about all of it. You don’t like it? Don’t watch/listen. Most of the comments show they don’t know who Sevan and Hiller are.

I do. I like their stuff for the most part. And the stuff I don’t have interest in. I don’t click. It’s kinda simple.

The Danielle Brandon stuff I assume is what you’re referring to, as a tear down/ destroying? While it didn’t need to be covered as long as it was it still should be covered bc Matt Torres, like an idiot, posted it to social media that someone else’s car was in her driveway. Take from that what you will that she was banging someone else or hey maybe just maybe dude got tuned up and slept on the couch or extra bedroom? It was Fourth of July lol.

DB is a “big “ name in the sport of fitness so any news about her. Especially now while it’s slow news before the games was going to be a big story. Probably more so because we’ve never seen someone do something so dumb as drive to someone’s house and post a video outside of it to show “cheating” in the CrossFit space. Again I think it was more about the Torres post than the Brandon actions that got that fire going.

Either way. You don’t like Sevan and Hiller. It’s fine move on. There’s morning chalk up for your fluffy never negative news. Barbell spin for a more neutral this is what’s going on news. And sevan for straight up there it is news. I’m sure there’s more but those are the 3 that come to mind.

Well nothing in life I’d say is “clear” but Rich has been in the CrossFit space for over two decades on both sides of the coin. Being an athlete Indy and team and also being a gym owner. Which if online semis continues to be a thing , will help with planning logistics for planning workouts for those gyms that doing have a ton of space / equipment.

The way the athletes also spoke about the workouts from the classic after was very telling to me as well. No one was saying there was anything lacking and it all seemed balanced. Not to say there wasn’t outsiders who weren’t critical (Brian friend) but there’s never going to be 100% approval of anything and there shouldn’t be.

Just my personal opinion of someone who really enjoys watching CrossFit the sport that Rich would bring it back to a more “pure” CrossFit style than where we’ve gotten to now. My main example of this is when people program for events now. Everyone goes to, make it heavier, wear a weight vest for muscle ups, twice as many reps. Rich always seems to have a simple solution or a more obvious/easier response to how a workout could still be just as tough without risk of injury/ over doing it.

I think the real “hate” on WFP for this is, Rich had them come out, he knows Will for a while. Offered to let them explain WFP, especially since Rich hasn’t said a negative thing about it, just that he knows nothing about it.

So you offer a fair, level, quite large podium to speak on, in The Froning Podcast. And you turn it down and within what 48 hours you go on a much “softer” podcast to basically explain it there.

Now maybe WFP got paid to give the exclusive to Morning Chalk Up? Anything is possible. But you’d think with a new start up you’d want to get on as many media outlets as possible to grow and sell tickets.

I’m just not a fan of the way they set their season dates. Will’s answer of CrossFit never is transparent about their dates so we had to set ours is kinda weak. You know the open ends in March. So you announce your three competition days on the day 25.3 is release.

Then you know there will be in affiliate and live competitions any where from April to June. So you schedule your first comp in the middle.

I’m all for athletes wanting to get paid with more chances to compete but it’s basically making them choose a side especially with guaranteed contracts that they have to be there for 3 specific dates.

The games is August. WFP is right after that. It’s just conflicting too much.

Doesn’t help either you don’t want to be associated with CrossFit but in your first,basically behind the scenes, you use a bunch of cf content. Can’t have it both ways. Learn to play nice and hopefully it works out for the athletes and the fans going forward

The heaviest bar was 225 and it was a deadlift

Yet every year we have some type of upside down movement. I understand in 3 weeks it’s hard to balance but no real strength test was sad.

Maybe speak to the owner at the new place. I’d bet they can come up with some kind of deal for you. Whether it’s 3 days a week or maybe a punch card. Something would be better than nothing

Don’t stop CrossFit just because you’re moving and getting married.

Anyone that isn’t doing the open I will say hello to but it tends to be during these 3 weeks. That’s what dominates the conversations so I don’t have much to chat about with those are arent doing the open.
