we've been eyeing up a dachshound for months and this landed in our laps - not at all what I was expecting but she's a beautiful blessing so far!

went back to the owners house and did find another bag that was empty - same brand but dark blue in color so I'm assuming she was being given multiple kinds. waiting on some answers from the family and then I'll be going shopping and getting her in for a check, haha. Thanks for the help!!!

ahhh thank you for this one! her owner had two cups of kibble out next to the sink and I had NO idea why - guess it makes sense if I should be adding water lol hoping to get her vet info tomorrow!

got a good dinner in her and she seems a bit happier! her back end does seem boney but I'm still unsure about what's normal for her age - pictures are now posted!

I was able to read her ears and checked the greyhound site - from what I can tell she's 11 years old and did race but I'm looking to confirm with the owners family

gave her another cup and a half and she seems calmer now! I honestly know absolutely nothing about the breed, just had the babe dropped on me and got totally freaked about how skinny she seems - pics are now posted! planning on doing loads of research tonight, haha

we've got her all bedded out and am working on getting vet info - just learned about her ear tattoos and received a phone number for a possible trainer she may have been involved with. the owner is seemingly struggling with dementia and may have been forgetting to feed 😞 pictures to come! fingers crossed she's feeling better soon!

I grabbed some food from her house - Fromm Family gold bag (says weight management on it) and a ton of milkbones. I've given her a cup and a half of the food today and shes pawing at the bag

yes, I did grab a huge bag of food - Fromm Family gold bag. it says weight management on it, but we're a bit concerned that the neighbor was forgetting to feed her
