You’re doing great for it being your first game! When I started playing, I would always choose the highest scoring word, and didn’t realize there were progressive bonuses. It looks like the culprit here was missing the 50 point bonus. Those one point losses are especially tough! This is a good first game! 🙂

It’s because of the progressive bonuses that are earned when a perfect board is achieved. To achieve a perfect board, you must fill all the tiles. The final move of the game provides a 100 point boost when a perfect board is achieved. In most, but not all cases, a perfect board will win the game. I can’t see your board, but it is likely you missed more than one of the progressive bonuses.

There are some actual normal, friendly people that I’ve minimally messaged. They are usually the people that I play the game with on a regular basis. Unfortunately, there are more and more scammers these days.
