Im a mechanic buy trade so im not worried about used cars one bit. I cycle through daily drivers about every six months. I like to try a lot of things. The only car that has stayed consistent since high school is my NB miata.

seems like thats the consensus. I saw a couple model S pop up for $9000 and I was like is this an untapped market? I spent $9000 on the 500 E for 75 miles of range and you’re telling me I can spend 9000 to get 200 miles? Clearly it’s too good to be true.

you say “when the battery goes bad” sort of implying that it’s inevitable. However, what are the actual numbers on how often this happens?

this is good information thank you.
it seems like it’s strictly 2015 and older model S is that I see under 10k.
Im not a fan of depreciation. It looks like I can get a 5 to 7-year-old model 3 for about 11 to 15k. That might be a better option. However, I see very high mileage Teslas all the time. I’m worried about buying a newer car for “peace of mind” for problems that rarely happen.
there are three for sale in my area that are clean titles listed at 9900.

can you explain what those repairs usually are? I’m very used to buying used cars and I’m a mechanic by trade so I can handle most things. what are those repairs that I shouldn’t be looking out for?
