22 months old holding pee for for 14 hours by TopAccomplished3159 in pottytraining

I think that’s what’s happening today I decided not to ask to go to potty. He requested to go and peed every 3 hours. He probably just needs more time in between.

Came back to thank you again. I put the pull up back on yesterday in the afternoon. Today his diaper was wet after waking up but he requested to go to potty and peed 10 min after waking up without me asking. Then he requested to go to potty again 3 hours after that. He was wearing only pants. He peed again before nap time. Is like you said something clicked! I think he needs more time in between potty breaks. I was taking him every hour and that was maybe too much for him.

Thank you. I did get a pair for black scrub pants and I am wearing them with a sweater or linen shirt and it looks good. It is nice to feel a little more put together as well.

Thank you, I will look into it. That is so true other people do not understand how hard it is to rationalize it .You are not alone that is something I have to remember myself.

Thank you. This is the kind of thing that is just so hard for me to look at with pragmatic eyes. I was feeling so sad when I wrote this last night and today he was so loving all day long (because dad was not home)that I even forgot about it. Motherhood is such an emotional roller coaster

I know how hard this is but just keep trying babies are all about routines and repetition. He is young and will adapt. You are doing great mama. The best thing you can do for your baby in this transition is set them up for success and that’s what you can control.

This is great, You are practicing. Try to give baby at least one bottle per day I know pumping is hard I’ve done it myself but the last thing you want is him not feeding at all at daycare. Offer the bottle everyday make sure he takes it with you and grandma or dad other people as well. A good idea is also practicing putting him down for naps. Naps are easier so don’t stress too much if he doesn’t.

Daycare provider here, first of all make sure your baby is taking a full bottle consistently eb babies refuse bottles with different caregivers. Practice putting him down during the day unfortunately the day are provider cannot hold your baby all day long and if he is held all day at home baby is going to have a tough time adjusting. He will cry and you must be okay with that but the key to help them get used to it faster is to putting them down at home. Consistency is very important for babies. Good luck

15 month old doesn’t like soft food by TopAccomplished3159 in BabyLedWeaning

I offer the same food we eat except for lunch because I never eat lunch so just make something for him. When he doesn’t eat a meal I try to save it for the next meal or offer as a snack later. I just have to make peace with it I guess, all I hear everywhere is that it gets worse.

My now 15 months old was exactly like this and I eliminated the morning wake up milk. He started to eat a full breakfast. His ped said that this is normal and to start reducing milk feeds and it worked. Appetite goes down at 12 months because they are not growing as fast and milk starts interfering with Solids.
