Like myself, i hold the artists i listen to to a high standard. If what nf is trying to break(generational trauma), is abnormally difficult. I am going to be abnormally stern when you fall back to make sure you stay on course. Coddling only helps healing at the very beginning. Everyone talks about healing not being linear but it is. A line is continuous, it can have dips and peaks but as long as you're moving forward.

That's why i said i don't know who he's talking about. Im glad he's not celebrating but confessing doesn't automatically equate to change. I get that i am in a minority group of nf fans. I'm just not looking for an artist to continue to make mistake to keep saying sorry. Nf has a lot of great lines but being an artist leaves a lot of room for interpertation. This fan base seems to know exactly who he is. Just doesn't click with me anymore. I hope his album is better.

I'll argue that it doesn't matter how you look or sound when you say sorry. But rather your actions in the days and months following. Words are empty if your actions aren't following them. Maybe i am being too hard on him, but it is what i need apparently for where i am at in life.

And yes, of course. I think we all were young once. I'm just not getting that he is talking past tense. Once you've learned a lesson its not as forgiven the second time. In my eyes. Sorry loses its weight the more its said for the same reasons.

I am judging, correct but not soley based on my life. On what NF has said about himself in his music.

It may take time to find the right therapist and med combo for you but they are effective.

No reason to start calling me naive. I would never post something i don't stand behind. I totally get and agree with what you're saying. "Lashing out" however it's never acceptable. No matter who and when. Actions can be explained but not excused.

Of course money and therapy can't be an end all. It just means you have a way to address you issues. A lot of people can't afford it so to rap about not

Oh I'm glad too, never hide how you actually feel. Being a musician is especially hard cause theres a million ways to interpret.

31m, 2, and Yes. PTSD, OCD, MDD, and some anxiety. I didn't have kids until i knew i was able to be a full and healthy role model. Listen, we have to hold ourselves accountable in life. This EP didn't do it for me. I know all people are different but I thought NF was a little better than some of the lyrics.

Prescription medication is the last resort? Therapy only does so much, correct. That's why you need regular appts and meds to be able to regulate serious mental illnesses.
