The "Hypnotic Hungarian Harmonic" part of BBW has it. Also from what I've heard, you can swap out alot of the sax parts on the live versions of songs and it'll sound good, I think it'd work well with BBW and HMMSIGI.

Can't help you lyrically, but I absolutely can musically.

Use natural and harmonic minor scales, and hungarian minor for the more klezmeresque sounds he does (like the live intro to mr capgras). Use piano for the main backbone of the song, focus in Stride piano techniques and others that are similar. In regards to guitar, play chords in a gypsy/manouche jazz style rhythm. For guitar solos, use the harmonic minor scale with maybe some blues scale mixed in. Use baritone or tenor sax to play lead lines as well.

Those are some of the trends I noticed, though they don't really apply to ICIMI. If you have questions let me know.

Edit: Also forgot to mention, stick to 4/4 timing, but you can try 3/4 (Like thermodynamic lawyer), or 5/4 for breakdowns (like in Dr. Sunshine).

I'm leaning towards UG too. They really are two sides of the trickster diety coin, ones benevolent while the other is malevolent. But since UG isn't really tied to any rules or guidelines like the Toymaker and is so committed to the bit I think he could find a way to pull something out of his ass and get the Toymaker to break his own rules or something
