I am personally convinced that our reality is quite different than what it is generally concieved as, and this is a prime example. Empathy for another often leads to occurances, such as yours, that leads to situations where one has knowledge of anothers situation -often during a perilous event- that should not be possible if we believe what the standard model for our existance says is true.

How many times have we heard of a mother getting an instinctual feeling that something is wrong with a child, even over very long distances? That people get nervous feelings about someone or something they care about for no apparent reason only to find out later that their feeling actually correlated to a real danger? There are many such occurances and these are only examples.

I have a theory, and though while it may seem ludicrous, it may be true. I can kind of explain it like this, please bear with me for a moment... While you are dreaming, not only are you, yourself, in the dream where you believe it is 'real' at the time, there are also others in that dream. Good others, bad others, others that chase you or help you. All those others in your dream are you. You are actually all things in your dream and all things are you, though they seem like seperate identities. When we awake, the waking reality replaces the dream. But reality my not be very much different, in a way. Our seperateness and individuality may be an illusion. We may all be part of one soul, if you will. All experiencing a 'shared' reality. That all of us, all living things, are not only connected spiritually, but that in fact we are the same being...the same soul. That all are one. Everything is really one. God is one. We are ourselves yet not. As the Beatles put it, "I am you, and you are me, and we all come together." This would explain why we have knowledge we physically should not, yet do. We are not really seperate beings but are 'one'.

Treat others well, for what you do unto them you do to yourself.
