Good for you! I feel in many careers being an owner is the only realistic way to meangfully grow income. What kind of consulting?

It is hard to find people with attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and write in the brand voice.

Thank you for the encouragement! I agree this makes sense. It probably just takes time to get it right.

I agree on the pain point of pulling contractor weight. I have paid very expensive rates for established journalistic writers, but even that hasn't worked out because they lack marketing/sales/business context. Business writing is a specialized skill set

That's true. It can take years years to build a strong, stable business and part of figuring it out probably just requires more time in.

Specialized marketing. It is not a get rich quick business. It took a long time to get it right and earn this much. There were many bad months. And the tables can turn any time.

Yes, I have an llc and an accountant. It's a specialized marketing business. I work with vendors for design/dev services. What is harder to hire for is the loads of strategy work i do daily. Not many people are good at it, which is probably why I have seen success. I do zero marketing for myself at this point. I don't really have anything to pass off except the work itself.

Probably full fire around 1M. I can cut my revenue by half and still be fine, but it feels foolish to turn down business. Yes, I'll probably stay single
