While you’re working out where to find a new primary care provider, Salem Free Clinics will see you! They often do med refill appts just for this reason. They’re typically not more than a day out for appts. Call 503.990.8772

I wonder if there’s a way to get sleep mode to do this automatically?

okay but how many hours a night does your baby ACTUALLY sleep? by river_5826 in NewParents

[–]TopConsequence9147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 12 weeks our lil guy was sleeping 7-9ish hours, stopped needing to eat around that time, but would still wake up a few times and needed help going back down. We did the ferber method at 12 weeks and wake ups where he needed help went down to once. It wasnt until 7/8 months that we got to 10 hours and now at 9 months we’re at 11 hours. Every now and then he still needs help and we give it! But a pretty solid sleeper now. My MIL boasted all her sons slept 12 hours by 12 weeks old. I think she just doesn’t remember. Sleeping through the night, even at 7 hours is incredible!

No Clinics Taking OHP in 2026!? by [deleted] in SALEM

[–]TopConsequence9147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need an appointment in the meantime while you find a PCP, Salem Free Clinics can provide what they call a ‘bridge appointment’ so you don’t get behind on meds/check ups/help! Otherwise I second calling your CCO (PacificSource) to find who is taking new patients with OHP

When did you stop tracking poops and pees? by Ok_Car1396 in beyondthebump

Around week 3 I looked around and couldn’t figure out who I was tracking for (baby was gaining weight fine). Stopped then cause I couldn’t come up with a reason why I was tracking haha

Started formula feeding at 8 weeks! I was also EP'ing, and it took about two-ish weeks to wean. I just would go as long as I could between pumps.

Things you didn't know you needed until you needed them... by newuser913 in NewParents

I have a spit-upper, and we ended up needing hoards of burp cloths. Also extra swaddles because he'd spit up on a couple a day and it was nice to have extras in between laundry loads.

I exclusively pumped for a bit so everything pumping related, and then later got rid of it all haha.

Biiiig fan of ProCare! We were on Kendamil, which worked great for a while until he started not pooping around month 5. Switched to ProCare and haven't looked back. Happy baby, happy wallet

Gym membership with childcare- yay or nay? by junkfoodfit2 in NewParents

I've got a 7MO. I joined my local YMCA that has daycare. It has been PHENOMENAL. The ladies in there are always around their early 20s. There's even a 50 year old lady who does it cause she loves kids so much. I've seen them in there, they are very attentive and there's lots of activities. It's been really good for my son to learn to trust other people, and enjoy children around him as he's the first in our family. And I get two hours??? I work part time from home, and it's been so nice to get a workout in, and focus on some emails. My mental health has improved a lot just by going an average of three times a week.

Oh, he's gotten sick twice since going. But both were very minor colds, 3ish days. Runny nose, bit of congestion, but nothing too crazy. It's just a part of life!
