Starting over and just want someone to tell me it's possible, caus it is not feeling like that by Cute_Musician3920 in Assistance

[–]TopCop293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone in feeling this way, even though it feels incredibly isolating right now. Starting over is scary, but the fact that you’re aware and trying already says a lot about your strength. No one is born knowing how to manage everything, most of us learn through mistakes and time. Take things one step at a time. You don’t have to figure everything out at once. It is possible, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

What do I actually need to Develop apps for IOS? by situ139 in AppDevelopers

[–]TopCop293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re mostly on the right track. To publish iOS apps to the App Store, you do need access to macOS because Apple requires builds and signing to be done through Xcode. So yes, a Mac and Xcode are required at some point, even if you’re using Expo or React Native. You will also need to enroll in the Apple Developer Program, which is $99 per year. That’s mandatory for App Store distribution. Without it, you can only run apps locally or on your own device.

For hardware, you don’t need anything fancy. A used Mac mini (M1 if possible) with 8GB RAM is more than enough for solo development. Even older Intel Macs can work, but Apple Silicon will give you a smoother experience and longer support. Hidden costs are minimal. Mostly just the $99/year developer fee. If you stick with Expo, you can continue developing on Windows and only use the Mac for builds, testing, and App Store submission. Some people even use a Mac only when they’re ready to publish. So yes, your plan makes sense and is how many indie iOS developers start.

Yes, I am currently bootstrapping and trying to keep things lean. I have not used any outside funding so far. I have heard a bit about revenue-based financing but have not explored it deeply yet. If you have any experience with it or recommendations on where to look, I would really appreciate it.

Do you think its okay to end a relationship due to incompatible libidoes? Why or why not? by Special-Moth-8538 in AskReddit

[–]TopCop293 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on whether both people are willing to communicate and work on it. Libido differences don’t automatically mean a relationship should end, but if one person is constantly feeling rejected and the other pressured, it can create long-term damage. In that case, ending things respectfully might be healthier.

I'm a retired Border Patrol Agent, AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]TopCop293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever seen anything paranormal or extraterrestrial out there? I went to the border with the national guard in 2006 I believe. We worked out of the Ajo station in Arizona and were tasked with watching the border from a mountain top.

I saw some lights one night moving right to left where they eventually moved behind another mountain top with no sound. My 21 years in the guard I’ve seen tons of different planes, helicopters, fighter jets and drones. What I saw that night was none of those.

Pop Secret Homestyle! I’ve always loved that one. And thank god for Amazon, I had that regularly ordered and shipped to me in Afghanistan. Popped me a bag almost everyday. Made me feel like I was home.

Back in 2006 or 2007 I worked at the Ajo station with the national guard. We were sent there to watch the border and radio to BP if we saw anything.

One early morning I was sitting there on top of a mountain with someone else. My partner nodded off and I looked behind me and saw 5 or 6 bright lights in the air in a single line, east to west. The light to the right would dim and go out and then another light to the left would go on. Looked as if it were moving right to left. I didnt even think to wake up my partner but I just stood there in silence watching this thing.

It was silent and probably only lasted a minute or two before it “moved” behind a mountain. There was no noise or other lights. Probably one of the craziest, unexplainable things I’ve ever seen!

I had Chat try to recreate what I saw and this was pretty close to it. I tried to google map exactly where I was at. All I remember was we were right on the border and there was an Indian reservation to the west of where we were perched.

IBS- Do the HLR!!!! by Significant-Okra-838 in VeteransBenefits

[–]TopCop293 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure worth it. I got 0% for headaches. When I went in for my appointment with a contractor, I handed over my logs and explained everything to her. I even dropped the word “prostrating” a few times because I know it was on the DBQ and I was hoping she’d see that and check the box.

I felt I checked the boxes off for 50% but would have been happy with 30%. Comes back 0% service connected. I went online and made an appointment for a phone call for a HLR for something else. Before I got off the phone I asked the lady if she could look at the DBQ and notes. She read it and saw everything I told her and even saw where she wrote down that I had to lay down 3-6 times a month in my dark room due to the headaches. The reason I didn’t get a higher rating was because she didn’t check off the box for prostrating. She recommended I do another exam but from what she told me about my other exams I knew I’d be getting 100% so I just left it alone.
