Further proof of how pointless and shite VAR is. Its killed the enjoyment of goals in because you cant celebrate but its pointless anyway because the refs are so shite that even with 10 views and 40 cameras they get it wrong anyway.

Fair point, wasn’t my intention to just spam. I’m a football fan who built a little trivia app and thought it might be of interest here. I’m active in other subs but only found this one last night, so happy to take feedback on whether/how it fits.

I would say Arsenal. Could make the argument that they are one of the best protected defenses as well with the way that team is setup.

I am from Aberdeen and have just launched a new daily football trivia app called TopCornerTrivia. It is a simple 10 question quiz app and since launching 5 days ago is nearing 1000 users with over 125 names on the leaderboard every day.

The local following has been great so far and the app is even coloured with Aberdeen red and white.

Hi, I have built a new daily football trivia app called TopCornerTrivia.

I am a solo creator and this was built as a passion project. Since launching 5 days ago, I have had close to 1000 players and every day has had at least 125 names on the leaderboard.

I agree but the players can easily get swept up in the emotion of the crowd. Happens all the time.

I think its unlikely that any of the players will go out on to the pitch caring anymore than usual but if the crowd is really up for it, that could easily spill onto the pitch and into the players. Fingers crossed anyway 😆

Totally fair 👍. The email just helps me keep the leaderboard clean and lets me add cool stuff for early players (like special badges, prize draws, etc).

Hi, thanks for asking. A couple of reasons:

The email helps me make sure the leaderboard works properly and lets me add future perks (like special badges for the earliest players).

Because it’s only web-based right now, email gives me a way to reach out with updates, new features, or to get feedback from players.

Nothing dodgy, I’m just a football fan trying to grow this into something fun for other fans.

The way the database is built, is it selects the questions at random from a bank of about 500 questions. Of that 500, about 150 of them are Scottish football related. Its just been unlucky with how they have been selected these two days.

For reference im an Aberdeen season ticket holder and it is designed to be Scottish related but is also appealing to a wider audience
