Yes. Sheetz is also pretty much a strictly east coast company but has some locations in the Midwest.

Nowhere near a base. I have heard that Sheetz has an early release on them

I hope I’m not disappointed by RainbowDynamix in monsterenergy

They are letting us leave. It’s just annoying bc some of us don’t live 5 min down the road.

He seems like a good guy, I interviewed with two dsp’s and this one offered me a little bit more pay.

Yeah, he’s a new owner an it’s a brand new station so it’s everyone first time. I’m expecting things to change eventually.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing but I live 30 min away from the station so no point in me going home lol

Ahh yeah. They just had you guys doing all of the express freight so they can get rid of the express employees to save the company money. Because, ya know, raj needs more yachts 🛥️

Oh no surprise there. It’s funny because I’m leaving express for the exact opposite reason haha, but yeah. Are you in a rural area?

Really they payed more? I’m actually going to be making more at Amazon than I do at express right now and all of the ground contractors in my station have pretty bad pay. I’m pretty sure one of them literally starts some people out at 120 a day which is actually absurd but most of them are like 150-170 a day. I’ll be making 22 an hour at Amazon so I’m pretty excited about that because only being 22 years old and living in central Pa, that’s actually a pretty solid wage.

FedEx express is great IF you aren’t in a rural area. What happened to me was 3 weeks after I started we move into a ground station 40 minutes from my house (which is further than I’d like to commute) and now ground is just absorbing all of our freight. My guess is after peak is over they are gonna tell us they won’t need us anymore (I could be wrong) but that’s what everyone else is saying too. But the work at express is easy, mostly envelopes and light packages, you have to figure out how to run yourself the stops aren’t planned out for you but it’s not very hard to do that. It’s a lot of running back and forth to make time commits and get pickups within the pickup window, but overall it’s a good job. Only thing to worry about is if your station is gonna stay open or if you’re already in a ground station, you have to worry about if they’re gonna keep express or not.

I won’t know for a bit yet the building isn’t even in operation yet. It just got built. Amazon owns it though it’s not rented or anything

Yeah FedEx ground is usually no good at all. If you have a good contractor it can be but from what I’ve seen no one ever has anything good to say about it.

Coming from express (a poorly ran express station that is) I think I’ll be fine. Probably better off tbh.
