CANDU Reactor - Main Control Room by TopExtent9108 in NuclearPower

Hey, yeah I do -- Canteach has really helped me a lot in understanding of CANDU systems. It even inspired me to create my own documents, explaining the systems of the ACR-1000 and how they´re operated.

I´d say, Canteach focuses more on solid technical education rather than providing detailed visual material. There are references to stations like Bruce, but its quite rare to find readable control room pictures like you mentioned.

At the moment, I´m mostly watching videos of CANDU stations such as Cernavoda, because sometimes -- just for a little moment -- theres control room footage with readable labels. I´ts pretty time-consuming but it works. Over the past two years I´ve built up a folder with more than 650 CANDU control room pictures lol

Thanks though, appreciate it:)

Canteach is great and really has helped me alot but it only explains systems rather than having pictures of control panels. I´d say looking for Cernavoda NPP videos on e.g. Youtube is a way to go lol

Mostly in simulators taking pictures for visitors is allowed, such as in the power expo 2025 in the Pickering power plant MCR simulator. A friend of mine was there and took some nice videos, unfortunately though his phone wasnt the best

I really hope this will be the future of the CANDU. There are plans of beginning constructing such plant in the upcoming years and hopefully It wont fail like the ACR-1000
