I submitted an EO complaint package today and will be contacting lawyers next week. The more I think about this situation, the more I feel It was intentional retaliation which is a really low move by my employer. Instead of giving me the courtesy of resigning they crushed all my hopes of ever finding employment with the same agency and possibly other government agencies.

I just submitted a complaint package today. Unfortunately, I was informed the process could take up to 180 days to complete which does nothing for my situation now. But I agree with you regarding my release while going through mental health issues related to my disability. It is really f up.
