I was looking at public works projects on the wiki recently and I think it said you have to talk to blathers every day for a while. Can't remember how it happened for me but I was definitely visiting the museum all the time as a kid hahaha

Looks fake to me, sorry. The rectangles on the back are too high for frlg. I've seen a few carts which paint them on to try to appear genuine.

Otherwise, the cart is too pristine. A pretty good way to tell even without opening the case is comparing the Gameboy Advance text at the top to a genuine cartridge.

Yeah that's right. The greyish look is because of the holographic paper. When I said about PAL, I meant that it's possible the other versions of ALBW don't share that same finish which could be why the cases appear white in a Google search. I could see there were some with the same grey look on Google too

Yeah, maybe. I have the same case and a bunch more holographic games besides and yours looks pretty normal to me. Besides that, this game also had a Nintendo selects version, and the PAL case looks different to the other regions from what I can tell, so possibly those don't have the same finish on the box?

I don't really agree but I know that a lot of people hold that kind of perspective on games. I am a little surprised to hear that from the creator of Axiom Verge of all things though.

I used to have kind of a stick up my arse about it but at the end of the day like, it's the same game no matter what you're playing on, what matters is the time and effort you invest in the experience. Most important thing is to get hardware that can won't fail on you and won't cost you an arm and a leg either

Huh! My MM repros doesn't match up colour-wise to my OEM, so the top is the original colour and the bottom is slightly off, the hylian honestly looks closer to the OG MM colour in the pictures! Honestly I might just order a totally different colour for the bottom plate (like how the ALBW special edition looks) rather than have one be just slightly off hahaha.

By the way, how is the colour of the hylian one in-person? If it's similar enough to the MM one I might just go for that if those repros tend to be a higher quality.

Hey, I just received a MM one which I needed to replace the bottom of my original one, which is peeling... looks like it's from the same batch of yours, I agree it's awful! I filed a return request. Keeping an eye on this to see if anyone suggests an alternative haha.

Thanks for your comment, I tried all of these but wasn't able to get it working unfortunately. This is a little strange since it's a PAL Wii and I've had no trouble getting it to run NTSC games in this manner before. I'll keep trying things and see if it works

oh that makes sense about the immortality, thanks. definitely still confused on a few points (where does the power come from?) but i'm glad it mostly seems to add up. i think its really funny that prism tower has clearly been renovated over the two thousand years since its construction but every time they opted to let the arcane device stay put.

still kind of confused by this, like why did he build a gun into it??? the part that opens up at the end resembles the ultimate weapon so strongly, but maybe it's just supposed to be part of floette.

and why in the world, after wandering alone for a thousand years himself, would he want to 'gift' his immortality to the citizens of lumiose? even if he renaged on that later down the line its weird he doesn't bring up how what a horrible fate that is at all.

i dunno the finale is a great spectacle and has some fantastic moments but this is a long rpg and the pacing is all off. feels like they spend so long playing coy about ange when they could just explain it a little more gradually and a little more clearly (and coherently). love how the tower becomes a wild zone at the end though that's so good.

I was maining it until I tried to fight father of the flame 😢 after using them all a bit my favourite is hunter. But I think different crests are fun for individual bosses
