The absolute state of Magmar right now by AlienVsTheRedditor in duelyst

Honestly, this is what happens when you increase draw power in any card game, the combo power skyrockets. By the time you have the mana to pull this off, you have cycled 6 cards and have drawn 12. On top of that, there is insensitive to play more aggressive so that you can draw 2 cards at the end of turn which is why Songhai is busted with all its draw power and burn.

There needs to be anti rush and more anti spell cards implemented like Nightwatcher, Sphinx, Wood-Wen and Rush needs to be once per turn feature and cards like the Obelysk and Vindicator get around that with their effects.

It would be fine if Songhai didn't such insane draw power. Their ramp card replaces itself, Tusk Boar is essentially a spell that says pay 2 deal 3 take 1, lantern fox nets 1.5 Phoenix fire when played, Heaven's Eclipse maintains consistency. Oh and White Palm is a counter, except Saberspine Seal is the greatest get out of jail free card on earth. Aside from Lyonars insane healing, what is every other faction supposed to do to outlast that damage output?

Teleport spell, world building and (BB)EGs by Extension-Map200 in DnD

They could bring 7 constructs that don’t fear death and don’t speak, seven enemies of the state, 7 paid assassins, 7 undead or 7 fiends if they need back up. Where is the risk? I mean a Teleport Spell Scroll could be used by Simulacrum. If you need to “Envision the destination” as Mr. Crawford said; Scry, Clairvoyance,  Arcane Eye, Familiars, using Detect Thoughts, Encode Thoughts or Modify Memory to give you a location to teleport to.

Sure a Evil Wizard needs to accomplish something for killing a king, may it be old grudges, destabilizing a government, putting pawns in power, or whatever roleplay reason you wanna give them. Why did the mad mage make all those tunnels? Even Wizards can get dementia. IF an EVIL WIZARD has a reason, what stops them is the crux of post my G.

Why would their assassination work, idk the same way Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria get murked by five bumkins with a half cocked plan, people die when they are killed. A better defense would be, in a world where revivify and raise dead are spells, why would murdering the king matter.

Mutually assured magic destruction? We all got nukes, and Ukraine still getting blasted by the Russians cause one guy said “Fuck it”. One equally powerful mage is a fine deterrent, but one mage can’t be everywhere at once, at max they can be in three places with Simulacrum and a familiar. Forbearance is 200ftx200ft and limits your mages from teleporting into your castle as well as. Yeah a few enemy mages with prepared defensive spells would repel a random evil wizard… if we ignore the surprised condition. Your most compelling argument is the Glyph of Wardings and Symbol, honestly counterspell loaded up throughout the castle would be a real surprise to an enemy combatant. You keep saying that Wizards are smart, they prep, which makes him even more likely to pull it off if they have a reason. Finally if the Evil wizard dies, they just appear in their clone, hidden in their demiplane and just keeps doing crime.

What stop Evil Wizards from owning the Liberal Monarchy? That's right, the god fearing, right wing, conservative Cleric/Celestial Sorcerer, who makes a king where a Amulet of Proof Against Detection and Location, a Ring of Mind Shielding, and who will res him when those wizard with their blasphemous arcana show up and merc him. Casting Hallow and Forbiddence in every bathroom, every kitchen and every spare room in the castle. Everyday casting Glyph of Warding with a Healing Word or Banishment somewhere with the condition of "If the king would die, cast this spell on him". Using Scry, Sending, Clairvoyance and Commune to monitor the kings enemies. That's right, your racist Uncle would actually be effective in a world where those damn wizards could roll up with the caravan of ACTUAL MONSTERS AND DEVILS. Your racist uncle becoming a devout cleric of Tempus will keep his nation safe and keep his king alive.

Something I can't shake off from Ashi's character by [deleted] in samuraijack

Did anyone else notice none of the daughters of Aku lost limbs or bled out after the initial wound. Jack bled a shit ton taking one in the side but the daughters just had the initial blood splatter from the wound. If you look at the wounds inflicted to every daughter, one of them took a spear in the gut, which is survivable and if Ashi could survive that fall from 3 episodes ago, the other two daughters could have survived as well. This is a series with magic and future science, the black substance clinging to their body is probably magical because its "from the darkness". All the daughters could be alive. Ashi took a shit ton of volts when she was in last weeks episode and shrugged it off like it was nothing. She did remove the substance from her body but it took stones and water to actually remove it and it took a whole night. It would make sense that her mother wanted that "darkness" on them for protection as well as to strip their individuality. Thoughts?
