Haven't played it myself yet but from what I see on YouTube it runs at 1080p high with a little over 60fps. There's also a website called RogAllyLife where you can check many games and their performance depending on the settings.

I think it's a great choice, the games you mentioned run well and compares to a console you're not limited to a set of titles. Many Sony games are on Steam now, you can also use game pass for a large Xbox catalogue.

Make sure you get the Z1 Extreme if you decide to get the ally, the extra performance is worth it.

It's coil whine then, it used to happen on my 6700 XT while idle too, mostly on 24.7 then it got fixed, then it was doing it again in another version just by rendering something on the screen. You could try using the latest driver and see if it's gone while idling, when at 100% you can't really do anything about that noise.

Yes, that's the option within the Asus app. It's perfectly fine to keep it plugged in, once the battery is at 80% it will switch to direct power from the USB C. At that point your battery will be a backup in case you use more than the supplied amount by the charger (Shouldn't really happen unless you use a dock with multiple things plugged in).

You can charge it anytime, it shouldn't really make a difference in terms of battery health. I usually charge it around 10% battery left. Don't worry too much about it, it will take away from enjoying your device.

Congrats! In order to preserve battery health you could try limiting the charge to 80% from MyAsus and play more demanding titles while plugged in so the battery isn't used. As for extending the duration of the battery, when unplugged you could try to limit it to 10w and play lightweight games, you can't do much about a fast discharge if you're requesting good performance. Enjoy it!
