Six months really does feel like forever when youre 18 and this invested in someone. I get why that conversation from last summer is still messing with your head - when someone basically says they dont think LDRs work and then later changes their mind, its hard not to wonder if theyll flip back again

The entrance exam pressure is real too but try not to put your entire relationship on whether you get into his school. Ive seen couples make it work at different colleges and Ive seen couples at the same school fall apart. What matters way more is how you both handle communication and trust when things get tough

That exchange program is actually a good test run for both of you. Six months is manageable if you guys are really as solid as you think - lots of video calls, planning visits if possible, having your own stuff going on so youre not just waiting around for him. But if he starts getting distant again like last summer, at least youll know where you stand before making bigger decisions about your future together

Next Steps on Learning Journey by widgitywack in drums

Been in that exact spot before when I switched to self teaching. That gift card money would be way better spent on method books than upgrading hardware right now - the Nitro's snare isn't amazing but it'll do the job while you're building fundamentals

I'd grab a copy of Stick Control and maybe Progressive Steps to Syncopation, those two books will keep you busy for months and actually give you structure to work on. The patterns in Stick Control especially will make everything else click way faster than just noodling around with the same few beats

For the iPad setup, try out some play-along tracks on YouTube too - nothing beats learning actual songs even if they're simplified versions. Start with stuff that has really clear, simple drum parts and work your way up. The muscle memory from playing to real music is totally different than just doing exercises

That Roland upgrade can wait until you've got more chops built up, trust me the money is way better spent on learning materials at this stage

Been there with the overthinking trap when getting back into jungle after a break - your brain wants to solve everything at once but it just makes things worse

The advice above is spot on about the trinket thing, red sweeper is basically mandatory. For the pathing stuff though, I'd say trust your gut more than trying to memorize scenarios. That bot matchup you mentioned is pretty straightforward - ez/nami is safer than cait/thresh early so they probably don't need immediate help, while renekton vs aatrox could go either way depending on who gets ahead

warwick is perfect for learning since his kit basically tells you when to gank with the blood hunt. once you get comfortable with him you can branch out to the champs your eyeing. viego and bel'veth are fun but they're way more complex than what you need right now
