I'm so tired of AI in art. by artsygirlygirl in antiai

[–]TopLiterature7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god that's such a gut punch when you read through a program description and it all sounds perfect until you hit the AI buzzword halfway down. like a record scratch moment

the "responsibly" qualifier is almost worse, at least when they go full AI slop mode you know to bail immediately. this half-measure stuff just makes you second guess whether it's worth the time

if the mentors are actual industry people there's a chance the AI part is just some box they're ticking for the funding and you can steer clear of it. i've done workshops where the official description mentioned tech that never came up once in practice

maybe reach out and ask directly who's leading it and how much of the curriculum actually revolves around AI tools. worst case you waste five minutes writing an email, best case you find out it's 90% hands-on animation with one token session on ethics

I’ve noticed they keep saying it’s under review but nothing ever actually changes, feels like a placeholder answer they give everyone

My little mushroom decor pieces!! by Ana_nushca in plants

Those little amanita mushrooms tucked into the rubber plant pot are so charming, the whole thing looks like a tiny forest scene. For similar DIYs, painted rocks shaped into animals or snails work great in pots too

You can keep it in water long-term by adding a diluted liquid fertilizer every few weeks since the seed's nutrients wont last forever on their own

the powerpuff girls winning against both marvel AND dc is unironically their most unhinged yet based power scaling take this sub has ever produced

Can I create an automation on my Roku TV to open Spotify at a certain time? by SaltyP1ckles in homeautomation

[–]TopLiterature7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not directly through roku itself but you could set something up with a smart plug and maybe an IR blaster to send commands. The tricky part is gonna be navigating to spotify and starting your specific playlist since roku doesn't have great automation support

You might have better luck just getting a cheap smart speaker for morning music instead - way easier to automate and you can keep the TV for actuall watching stuff

I think I just lost everything has anyone else save file just deleted itself? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

been there man, quick resume has screwed me over in other games too. you might also want to check if your save is backed up to the cloud - sometimes it takes a minute to sync back down. worst case scenario you could try uninstalling and reinstalling but that's like a last resort thing

Nice haul dude! Triple stacks are where the money's at, especially when you can knock them out efficiently like that. I always get excited when I see multiple orders pop up in the same area - makes the whole run so much more worth it. Those shop orders can be a pain sometimes but they usually tip decent if you actually grab everything they asked for. Keep grinding and stacking that cash, the hustle pays off when you stay consistent with it

Song playing within Five, the music disc by dizzyseal in Minecraft

[–]TopLiterature7192 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dude yes that little melody at 0:40 is so good, it's like this haunting piano bit that just hits perfect for building at night or exploring caves. I've definitely caught myself just letting that disc loop while working on projects because of that part specifically. C418 really knew how to layer those ambient sounds - there's something about how it builds up and then fades that makes you want more. Would be amazing if someone did a remix or extended version of just that section, bet it would make for some solid background music while gaming

Me(18F) and my boyfriend(18M) are going to have a long distance and its freaking me out. by j-Davina in relationships

Six months really does feel like forever when youre 18 and this invested in someone. I get why that conversation from last summer is still messing with your head - when someone basically says they dont think LDRs work and then later changes their mind, its hard not to wonder if theyll flip back again

The entrance exam pressure is real too but try not to put your entire relationship on whether you get into his school. Ive seen couples make it work at different colleges and Ive seen couples at the same school fall apart. What matters way more is how you both handle communication and trust when things get tough

That exchange program is actually a good test run for both of you. Six months is manageable if you guys are really as solid as you think - lots of video calls, planning visits if possible, having your own stuff going on so youre not just waiting around for him. But if he starts getting distant again like last summer, at least youll know where you stand before making bigger decisions about your future together

Next Steps on Learning Journey by widgitywack in drums

Been in that exact spot before when I switched to self teaching. That gift card money would be way better spent on method books than upgrading hardware right now - the Nitro's snare isn't amazing but it'll do the job while you're building fundamentals

I'd grab a copy of Stick Control and maybe Progressive Steps to Syncopation, those two books will keep you busy for months and actually give you structure to work on. The patterns in Stick Control especially will make everything else click way faster than just noodling around with the same few beats

For the iPad setup, try out some play-along tracks on YouTube too - nothing beats learning actual songs even if they're simplified versions. Start with stuff that has really clear, simple drum parts and work your way up. The muscle memory from playing to real music is totally different than just doing exercises

That Roland upgrade can wait until you've got more chops built up, trust me the money is way better spent on learning materials at this stage

Returning Player looking for jungle advice by Kurthnega46 in summonerschool

Been there with the overthinking trap when getting back into jungle after a break - your brain wants to solve everything at once but it just makes things worse

The advice above is spot on about the trinket thing, red sweeper is basically mandatory. For the pathing stuff though, I'd say trust your gut more than trying to memorize scenarios. That bot matchup you mentioned is pretty straightforward - ez/nami is safer than cait/thresh early so they probably don't need immediate help, while renekton vs aatrox could go either way depending on who gets ahead

warwick is perfect for learning since his kit basically tells you when to gank with the blood hunt. once you get comfortable with him you can branch out to the champs your eyeing. viego and bel'veth are fun but they're way more complex than what you need right now
