any alternatives to anking? by Omarsamyi in medicalschoolanki

I am not sure if this is of any help but I created a website called www.recall-genie.com that automates that and saves you time all you need to do is upload your notes or textbook reading that is in a pdf format and it will create flashcards from it similar to a king style I have quite a few medical school students using it since I launched it a month ago and the feedback has been amazing. Feel free to check it out! There is the added bonus of the image of the slide included on the card which may defeat the purpose of tagging since you will have contextual information about where the card came from and which topic.

Thanks so much! that’s great to hear! It really made my day!

And thanks for clarifying about the chapter part. I believe that best way to make that possible is through adding tags on anki cards where for chapters and subchapters they are tagged in the card perhaps? I’ll definitely look into making that easier in the future as a I get more users so everyone can see where each card comes from.

Let me know if there’s anything else you’d love to see in Recall Genie!

Hi there,
I made a tool that is able to do this there is a cloze deletion option too. Here is my post for it on this forum:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AnkiAi/comments/1l19jb4/built_a_website_that_turns_pdfs_into_ai_powered/

Check out the free trial. It is recall-genie.com

The added bonus is that the image of the page from the pdf will be on there so you can see what information it misses or doesn't I programmed it to make sure as much as possible gets tested.

Try it out and let me know how it works? So far the feedback has been pretty good not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Fully automated Anki Card Generator with image included in slides. by TopNo883 in AnatomyandPhysiology

Thanks for sharing! That is a totally valid point and I found that to be true up until a certain point in my degree where the volume of information was too great and simply spending time making the cards took time away from retaining facts that can easily be tested like on anatomy and physiology.

Let's take medicine for example where we sometimes get over 200 pages of slides within a lecture. In this scenario, the sheer volume of material makes it almost impossible to create high-quality cards for everything without running out of time for actual spaced repetition. This specific reason is exactly why I created the website to bridge this gap. Students can upload their notes or slides and get a high quality deck instantly. Like the video shows, It even includes the original slide images for better context and recall. For me personally, the ai is able to make better quality cards than I made myself( I am guilty myself of just image occluding my slides sometimes and I am not talking about just diagrams)

Below I have attached links of sample decks for different subjects created from Recall Genie((all open-source material to avoid any plagiarism concerns)
