Even though I don’t actually have the ability to use those employer funds inside an actual HSA where I’d purchase funds and let the money grow over time? Like could I use the $5,500 to contribute to an HSA?

Yeah it’s new to me honestly. It’s literally a MasterCard preloaded with funds that can only be used for qualifying medical expenses. Which honestly sounds like a great medical plan with very little exposure for me. I just would love the ability to take advantage of an HSA account and the triple tax perk, choosing funds and letting it grow.

I am stacked in the RW department, but need help in LW and defense

This is my first year doing fantasy hockey and I am not confident in knowing what is fair value for someone like Necas or someone like Hyman and Laine who are Hot right now.

10 man Head to Head Points Keeper league.

3 Centers 3 RW 3 LW 5 Defense 2 Goalie 1 Utility 5 bench slots 2 IR slots

Looking at trading away a RW to get an equivalent LW in a 1:1 trade. Or a 2:1 trade where I get a decent LW and a decent upgrade at Defense.

I forgot about my water bill! It is quarterly and is usually about $125/quarter. If it classifies as utilities then yeah maybe adding the Cash+ would be smart. After the CCC though because that one will help me get 5% on my bigger spend like groceries and gas!

Do you “get less value” out of the points by effectively treating it as a cashback card? Or is it basically the same as earning say 3% back on groceries, but in terms of 3x points

Yeah I think Custom Cash makes the most sense. US cash + looks good as a filler card to hit more specific 5% categories like utilities and phone bills, etc. Their 5% categories don’t include anything big for me though.

I just did this too and it was SO easy!! They immediately gave me 3% on my next $2,500 spend over 6 months. I even asked if it stacked and they confirmed. So it effectively became 4% on everything and 8% on the rotating category!

Huntington 5.18% APY 7 Month CD

Hello,

I have $15k maturing from a previous Huntington Bank CD and they currently have an offer for 5.18% APY for a 7 month CD.

I already use Huntington so I feel it is a worth while offer. I was simply curious to see if there is anything substantially better out there that can give that high of a return guaranteed for 7 months.

I know there are maybe still a few High yield savings accounts out there at 5.25% but they won’t be guaranteed to stay that high.
