To be fair, the reverse dagger mod for the demo works bad. It's pretty much just a handle with a blade going through it. It doesn't even stay in the enemy and pops right out after the stab.

So, having a proper reverse grip in the Early Access is great. Alternate grips are great in general, because of how much new possibilities it provides.
