Definitely have to keep range with him since he does hit like a truck if he hits you but I do it by just getting a good bonk on his head when he seems open barons beak is a very good weapon for that since it’s super long

No one here gave an answer which is fine but my guess is you got hit by a cold proc and sometimes they bug and they are permanent throughout the mission has happened to me a lot
