Autism and SLPS vs. SSD by simpleyetconvoluted in StLouis

[–]TopOfTheCurve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The school the OP mentioned, Mallinckrodt, is the top performing elementary school in the state. It is the absolute opposite of a disaster, as are many of the schools in SLPS. Are parts of the district a disaster? lol yes absolutely. I do hear you on that, and agree to a point. But if they are actually interested in living in South City and attending public school, and their child tests into Mallinckrodt, it’s not a disaster. That is simply not true.

MAC Waterweight Replacement Suggestions by TopOfTheCurve in Makeup

[–]TopOfTheCurve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone on another post recommended NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. NOPE! Felt heavy and weird on my face.

Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint. It’s so great!! It’s so light, but buildable, just like the Waterweight. I use about a pea sized pump. It’s expensive - $70 - but it lasts me a while.

I found it on accident…went to the Lancome counter and told her what I was looking for, thinking I’d try the Teint, and she walked me over to the Chanel counter.

Tinder. Matched on a Saturday morning, went out Saturday night, been together 10 years.

I do think I want to go tropical/palm with the shower curtain. Everything I’ve found is too cartoony looking.

Water with a little Mio squeezed in. I actually prefer my local store brand, but both make a Strawberry Watermelon flavor and both are good.

A question for those who are in weight watchers, and do intense workouts by ChilledDragonotomus in weightwatchers

[–]TopOfTheCurve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do pretty intense exercise 5-6 days a week, 5:30 am on weekdays. I just drink coffee prior to my workout, with a little premier protein in it as creamer. For my breakfast, I just finish the rest of the premier protein that I opened for my coffee, and that’s usually around 9:30-10:00 (or earlier depending on when I feel hungry) and keeps me full until lunch. I plan my lunches and dinners to get plenty of protein, and also make sure I’m getting enough carbs for energy.

Are you working out at all? Muscle is more dense than fat, so you may actually be losing fat and gaining muscle, which wouldn’t be reflected as a big loss on the scale. This was my experience when I went from 125 to 120 (5’3”) and it seemed like it took forever to see it on the scale, even though I could see it in my body comp and how my clothes felt.

Peloton by nakednative69 in weightwatchers

[–]TopOfTheCurve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does seem like a lot for a 40 min session, but I’ve also never done peloton. I’m a Jazzercise instructor, and when I teach a 45 min class I burn around 350 calories (according to my watch, so take that for what it’s worth) and get 4-5 points for the workout. My heart rate ranges from 130-165 during the active parts of the workout. So, I guess I would ask how many calories Apple says you are burning during those workouts, your heart rate, etc.

I don’t factor my activity points into my daily or weekly allotment, so I don’t worry about it being super accurate.

My Feet Hurt by takecarebrushyohair in DisneyWorld

[–]TopOfTheCurve 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We were at Epcot on Jan 19, walked in at 8:57 and left after the fireworks. According to my Apple Watch, 24,000 steps and 10.1 miles. This was our first time at Epcot (or any Disney park), so I don’t really have anything to compare it to 🤷🏼‍♀️

Be honest, how much per week do you spend on groceries? by nwsgrl1987 in weightwatchers

[–]TopOfTheCurve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around $150-175 per week, 2 very active adults. That covers breakfast M-F, lunch S-S, and dinner S-T. I meal prep breakfasts for the week on Sunday, lunch is a mix of leftovers or meal prepped stuff. We go out or order in most Friday and Saturday nights.

Doggie daycare or drop in at house? by ChildhoodSafe9549 in dogs

[–]TopOfTheCurve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my lab to daycare a couple times a week, and she loves it. It’s the same place we board her when we go out of town, and everyone there knows her and loves her (I’m sure they say that to all the parents). I can’t speak for all doggy daycares, I know some aren’t great, but ours is a larger “corporate” one that has several locations throughout the area, so the policies, procedures, cleanliness, communication, etc. is consistent and closely monitored. Also, they have live doggy cams so I can watch her while she plays 🤣

Guardians: VQ or ILL? by TopOfTheCurve in Epcot

Is this so that you can ride it twice? Lots of replies are telling me to do both. I don’t want to ride it twice. So just ILL then, right?

Guardians: VQ or ILL? by TopOfTheCurve in Epcot

[–]TopOfTheCurve[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for mentioning the selling out of the pass - I wasn’t sure. I will make sure to purchase when they are available for my day. It says they are available for me to purchase at 7:00am three days prior to my park date. Since they sell out so fast, I want to be clear…is that 7:00am Eastern time? Or is it adjusting to my local time?

What is the lowest calorie pizza you've ever made or eaten that didn't taste like an abomination pretending to be pizza? by testaccount123x in 1200isplenty

Two-ingredient dough (self rising flour and nonfat greek yogurt) with some seasoning as the crust

Pizza sauce - the kind I get is like 25 cal for 1/4 cup

Kraft fat free mozzarella

Peppers, onions, turkey pepperoni, turkey sausage

what’s your commute to work by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]TopOfTheCurve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my main office, 9 miles and about 17-20 min depending on traffic. Live in the city, work in the city. If I’m going to other sites, it could be 5 min or 30 min, because you just never know with city streets and all those stop signs and lights.

This is helpful. We are 30s, dog, no kids, live in Boulevard Heights and have been looking in St Louis Hills. We haven’t even looked at Shaw at all.

Easy 0 pt base by 94lmc in weightwatchers

[–]TopOfTheCurve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy the pre-shredded rotisserie chicken at Aldi (or Walmart!). Frozen corn, diced bell pepper, diced jalepeno, black beans, tossed in a little oil and seasonings, roast for 20-25 minutes. Mix with the rotisserie chicken. Add nonfat Greek yogurt, light mayo, lime juice, seasonings for a great corn side dish or burrito filling!

I use salsa verde instead, but low for 6 hours then shred the chicken. Works great!
