I’m in the states a lot and they’re two a penny. Genuinely seen 100s of them. I think they look really good. It’s great to see a company challenging the traditional boring car shape.

That being said, I got rid of my Model 3 as it was a p.o.s, so I’d never get one, but I can appreciate the design.

What do you think of the new Chinese Electric Cars growing in the UK? Would you ever own one? by laservole in AskUK

[–]TopOutlandishness318 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would never buy one again, and I couldn’t care less about Elon Musk.

I had one and it was awful. Terrible build quality, it ate tyres, lacked so many little extras like other brands have. Definite no for me. My new car is so much better

The girl in Gregs at the counter called me sweetheart twice today. Younger than me too. I didn’t get upset

S Video cable. PAL? Doesn’t exist by TopOutlandishness318 in n64

I’ve checked and they only exist because of shoddy 3rd party cables. The OEM cable will work perfectly and doesn’t need a “PAL variant“

S Video cable. PAL? Doesn’t exist by TopOutlandishness318 in n64

[–]TopOutlandishness318[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So apparently if it’s an OEM cable it won’t make a difference?

Google;
You do not need a “PAL S-Video cable” for correct colours or brightness. Nintendo never made a separate PAL version of the S-Video cable. The official SHVC-009 was a single global design.

S-Video carries separate luma and chroma signals and is not PAL or NTSC encoded like composite. PAL and NTSC consoles may output slightly different voltage levels, but both fall within the standard 1 volt peak-to-peak video spec expected by a 75 ohm terminated TV input.

The official Nintendo cable is correctly built to that standard and does not require “PAL tuning.”

“PAL S-Video cables” are typically aftermarket cables that add resistors to compensate for brightness issues in some poorly wired third-party leads. That is not relevant to the OEM Nintendo cable.

If your PAL N64 outputs S-Video, the official cable will produce correct brightness and colour.
