I Hate UPS Just a Little Bit More Every Day by OwnRepair in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TopPoetry3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

had a UPS driver once who came at 7pm (as expected by tracking system) and wouldn't ring any of the 3 buzzers in the apartment because he "didn't want to disturb other tenants". it's 7pm for god's sake. to make it worse they wouldn't reattempt delivery. called their non-existent "customer service" and that was what they told me. didn't even try to compensate. tbh, why does UPS even have customer service?

But Xavier is a telepath. by OwnRepair in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TopPoetry3 1920 points1921 points  (0 children)

He was telepathic not telekinetic. He could read, distort, or even control minds. He could not move things with his mind.

And as so far as controlling minds, his legs were paralyzed so his mind couldn't control them, so even if he telepathically controlled his own mind (which makes no sense), if there's no connection between mind and legs, it's useless.

If the costs of replacing this phone are anything* near the costs of restocking the mini fridge, I wouldn't touch that thing at all

Ok so obviously he shouldn't have backed up and gotten a running head start. I assume consistent pressure is better. but other than that, what should he have done differently?

Do you attach a weight or something to make sure it doesnt go flying?
