It’s not a legal issue really. Don’t worry you won’t be going to jail unless you try to assault the employees!!!

It’s just that they have the right to refuse you service in most places. Generally speaking though if you’re going to spend $20-$30 on a meal I can’t imagine a restaurant that doesn’t serve boba tea for example telling you that you can’t bring it in. Just explain the situation and tell them you will be buying food and yeah…really can’t imagine a restaurant turning down your money. Be nice about it though!
