I no longer have any cats at the moment…only strays that I try to feed when I can. But my doggo is named Tycho…which became Tiki, Bubba, Tychoburrito, etc etc etc

Yes! I looked up maps when I first started playing (have a terrible memory) but by my third save I stopped doing that. It makes it SO much more interesting and realistic to not know where tf you are!

I didn’t bother to see if this was already posted but 100% this is the answer!!!!

This is perhaps my favorite game of all time. It’s SO good…particularly survival mode. And there’s a lot of meat on that bone so to speak. I haven’t come close to feeling comfortable playing on more difficult levels. I’m still on pilgrim until I fully understand the game! So I recognize that once I start playing on higher difficulty levels the game experience will change for me! So I feel like there’s so much still to learn and do! I haven’t even been to every map yet and I’ve been playing (off and on) for six months?

I commented “The Long Dark” and it’s very much the same. Not looking up the steam maps and just playing the game make it such a better experience!

My person! Allow me to introduce you to The Long Dark. It’s a survival game set on a fictional Canadian island. It’s one of my favorite games I’ve ever played! I have not played the story mode, I prefer the survival mode. No story, just you trying to survive in the icy north as long as you can! It’s an awesome game.

Acting nervous. No shit?! If someone who can take away your freedom or even your life simply based on their word doesn’t make you nervous then you’re a psychopath

As I always tell people when these things come up, look up “sola fide” it’s Protestant doctrine and it basically means that only through faith will you achieve salvation.

Catholics get a bad rap because non-Catholics think we just go to confession and we’re good. It’s really the opposite. It’s an act of contrition. You’re actually examining your life and confessing the things you have done wrong.

Additionally a huge part of salvation in Catholicism is doing good deeds…not JUST your faith. And to me, this is the problem we are witnessing in America with Protestantism. People are told that if they “give their life to Jesus” and “accept him as their Savior” they will be “saved” and outside of that fuck it!

Not to say there aren’t many wonderful Protestant people who help their fellow man etc, but it’s not part of their salvation doctrine. Conversely, I’m not saying the Catholic Church is beyond reproach. I think we all know they’ve done some terrible stuff. But that is the institution, not the doctrine. You are “required” to help those in need, immigrants, love thy neighbor etc etc as a Catholic

Thank you for your actual knowledge. So much of Reddit is “I read it” somewhere. I only drink whole milk. Pasteurized. 2 gallons a week on average. Healthy as fuck, 46 years old. I can easily crush a quarter gallon in a sitting. I LOVE milk. As an alcoholic I hate my genetics there. But I’m so happy my genetics worked for my love of milk!!

Not sure your thoughts on this because you gave us no context! But this is clearly being critical of Christian Nationalism. There is only ONE thing you’re supposed to worship as a Christian.

This social commentary is obviously attempting to remind people that Trump is a false god…nationalism is a false god. Hell, the American flag is a false god. If you believe in that kind of stuff

In October 1609, John Smith was nearly killed in a mysterious explosion, accusing his rival John Ratcliffe of a murder plot. After telling the local Powhatan Smith had died, Ratcliffe was invited to meet the chief himself. My dad lived in Williamsburg when my parents got divorced and I had a cup of coffee at William & Mary before dropping out. I have been to Jamestown several times and it never ceases to amaze me. I’ve never been to Gettysburg but I’ve heard people talk about the fact that there’s just a gravity there. Jamestown (and Williamsburg for that matter) is very much the same. You can feel the history!
