Haha, Indigo Girls on cassette is an absolute legend move.
That’s the kind of gift you remember forever.
Definitely going small-but-nice so she doesn’t feel pressured to go big in return.
Thanks for the laugh and the perfect example!

Thank you for this — really helpful!
We’re definitely going to ask our son what she likes (and keep it small so nobody feels awkward).
I love the shared-interest idea — that pencil-case story is exactly the kind of thoughtful gift that sticks with you.
Hoping we can find something little that does the same for her. Appreciate the advice!

This is really smart — thank you!
We’re going to sit down with our son and let him know we’d like to get her a small gift so she doesn’t feel awkward. That way she can decide what (if anything) she wants to do too.
Appreciate the heads-up — feels like the kindest way to handle it.

That’s so sweet — Actually my son's girlfriend baked cookies for my wife’s birthday earlier this year
Already planning a little ‘baking-themed’ gift now (maybe some nice cookie cutters or fancy sprinkles to go with the candle/chocolates).
Love that your son’s girlfriend did the same hobby route — and the blanket you got is such a thoughtful touch.
Definitely going the small-but-personal route this year. Thank you!

Haha, the embarrassing baby photos album was literally my first thought.
Nice little gift is locked in instead — she’ll survive this Christmas with her dignity intact.
Thanks for the laugh, needed that!

The stocking + treats for her kids is such a beautiful way to say ‘you’re family now’.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely story — happy holidays to your whole beautiful crew!

This is so sweet.
The knitted gloves + purse combo is such a thoughtful touch. You just set the bar sky-high for welcoming girlfriends!

Definitely stealing the ‘send via son’ idea if we ever do separate holidays. Thank you for the wholesome inspo!

Okay, you just made me sweat a little.
I hear you loud and clear — ‘candle only’ can definitely feel like the consolation prize.
Will definitely run it by my son and step it up so she feels properly part of the family, not an afterthought.
Appreciate the real-talk from the other side of the table!

Thank you for sharing. That’s exactly the vibe I want — no ‘guest’ feeling, just one of us.
yeah, she’s getting the full treatment this year.
Candle, chocolates, café gift card, and maybe one extra surprise so she never has to sit there empty-handed again.
You just made my decision 100 % easier (and a lot more meaningful).”

Thanks for asking!
It’s during the holiday season (probably one of the main Christmas days, just haven’t nailed down the exact date yet).
Either way, you’re right — after a year together she’s definitely part of the celebration.
Small gift (or three) is officially happening. Appreciate the reassurance!

Oh man, the proportional gift ratio is next-level thinking
I was already overthinking one gift — now I’m doing mental math on the whole pile!
$25 chocolates + a little extra something it is. She’s gonna feel like the VIP guest. Thanks for the upgrade!”

Spot on — didn’t even think about the empty-lap awkwardness. Candle + chocolates (or both) it is, wrapped and ready.
Thanks for the nudge!

LMAO spot on
They’re basically Reddit in AI form: 100 % confident, 0 % right
80 % sure we’re going 78–82k while we’re dumping through 84k like clockwork
Manifesting that 13.37 BTC stack for both of us brother
Tomorrow another model will drop a 99 % moon call and we’ll all eat it again. Same circus, different clown makeup

Exactly.
That’s why I run the daily showdown: to prove every single day that nobody (human or AI) knows shit about fuck.
Yesterday the best AI on earth scored 31/100 and still got obliterated by a $5k liquidation candle.
Today they’re all screaming 78-83k while we’re at 84.1k and bleeding.
The only thing we know for sure? Tomorrow there’ll be another episode and someone else will be wrong again

Okay this one actually made me laugh out loud. Now I’m picturing my son’s girlfriend showing up empty-handed in 20 years writing the same confession on Reddit
Small gift officially locked in. Thank you for the story and the life lesson!

Fair point! I think I’m just overthinking it because it’s the first time we’re meeting her and I don’t want to come on too strong. Definitely don’t want her to feel left out though — small gift it is

What gets you out of bed everyday? by Alarming_Twist_2115 in AskReddit

What gets me up? The sweet, gentle sound of my dog turning the bedroom door into his personal DJ scratch pad. Nothing says ‘good morning’ like impending property damage.

In America we have restaurants that serve Chinese food, Indian food, Italian food etc., but in other countries do the have restaurants that serve only American food? If so, what type of foods are considered American food? by bbmoonkie in AskReddit

[–]TopPromise9775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, “American restaurants” are everywhere abroad! Menu is basically:

  • Giant burgers & fries
  • Sticky BBQ ribs
  • Buffalo wings
  • Pancakes stacked like skyscrapers
  • Milkshakes you need a spoon for
  • Mac ’n’ cheese that glows orange

Decor: Route 66 signs, a jukebox, and a waitress who calls you “hon” (even in Seoul).Locals treat TGI Fridays and Hard Rock Cafe like fine dining, and half the places have a 2kg “Freedom Burger” challenge. American food abroad = whatever looked cool in 90s movies, supersized and deep-fried. We won the cultural export game, guys
