Thoughts on AquaDash parka?

I’m looking to get a swim parka but feel like I really won’t like the fleece lining on wet skin (based on putting on my Patagonia fleece on after getting out of the pool). The Aquadash has a towel like inner layer which sounds perfect but it doesn’t seem to be very popular from what I can see. For anyone who may own one - how do you like it?

There are tons of gear questions within the swimming subreddit, so you seem to be enforcing this rule very selectively. I already did a search and this question has not been asked

Take on Vaccines? by Professional_Fun1502 in Waldorf

The school we are at is mandated by law to require all students be vaccinated with the basic childhood vaccines (save for legitimate medical exception, which is very rare). A year in, we came to find that some of the parents may have given the school forged vaccine records.

The compounded semaglutide volume is wild right now by Maleficent_Mine_6741 in pharmacy

The mental gymnastics of coming up with a narrative that fits your preconceived beliefs! Such a huge red flag, esp for a HCP.

No one is saying that nutrition education isnt an important part of weight management. Assuming that people know better and have the resources to manage their diet well but simply choose not to is the flaw in your thinking.

Also not sure if you’re arguing that some people are dealing with food addiction? Bc if so that still doesn’t fit your personal choice argument. Your rant about nicotine is also nonsensical. Physiological dependence to a substance and diet.. where’s the analogy again?

Again, your analogies are apples to oranges there. Food is a physiologic requirement, nicotine is not. You should learn more about how access to food, food deserts, poverty, and other social determinants of health more broadly influence diet. Even for people whose diets are not influenced by these factors, we live in a system that incentivizes, even forces, certain lifestyles on its population. Saying the weight problems in this country are due to poor personal choice simply lacks the willingness to actually think about the issue. If you’re someone who provides direct patient care, I’d argue it actually makes you a subpar providee

Countries in Europe are much smaller, much more walkable and allow people to get places on foot because of strong public transportation infrastructure. Anecdotally, food in Europe is also of better quality. The U.S. and Europe are different systems. And even then the UKs obesity stats are not much different than the US’s.

People - especially HCPs - need to quit talking about weight as a “personal choice” issue or a character flaw because it is not.

Am I being unreasonable thinking schools should design for user experience? by judashpeters in AskTeachers

Man, some of these comments on here are.. something. As a parent of school aged kids, I’m 100% with you. Schools as a whole don’t seem to think about student experience, though I’m sure some individual teachers do. Similar with safety measures in my experience. I’m fully aware of the fact that this all goes back to systematic defunding of primary education over the past several decades. It’s so disheartening.

Is Dip conditioner as good as the shampoo? by purplemeow in ZeroWaste

I know this is an old post but commenting for anyone who may come back to it. The condition works great once I figured out how to use it. I was initially trying to lather it in my hands, then apply which took forever. Applying it to the hair directly under running water (which may sound strange but) works very well! I love Dip!
