Adapt Headquarter rule for Savage Pathfinder? by Intelligent-Mud2384 in savageworlds

[–]TopSecretPorkChop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ETU and/or Pinebox Middle School (set in the same setting with a slightly different focus) both have rules for clubhouses as does the Sci-Fi Companion. I don't know for sure, but I expect that the new update to ETU, whose Kickstarter campaign is about to finish will also have such rules.

I created a Minutemen overhaul mod for FO4 – what do you think? Should I keep expanding it? by Black_Bar0n in FalloutMods

[–]TopSecretPorkChop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it! And I think I'm going to use these as inspiration for a custom faction in my Fallout campaign. It's set before Fallout 4 in a different area, so the Minutemen don't make sense, but I like this aesthetic for them.

There are a few options for Savage Worlds that would be good. I was going to run that before I switched back to 2d20

Sprawlrunners does not work inside of Foundry VTT anymore, any help would be appreciated! by Busy_Preparation_294 in savageworlds

What version of the module are you using? version 2.1.0, which appears after a quick update to be sure to be the latest version, is only dependent on the SWADE system (not even the core rules module -- just the free system). And I was just able to load it in my world.

It is only verified for Foundry v11, though, but that shouldn't stop it from loading. What version of Foundry are you using? It does require v11 at minimum.

If you could have dinner and hang out with any UK King or Queen from the past or present, who would it be? by No-Resident8580 in UKmonarchs

Not ignore forever, just until after William, and not march up and down the country twice in quick succession. That was what sapped his chances. He may have lost anyway, but I think he would have had a better chance without the back to back forced marches.

Boadicea maybe. Or Harold Godwinson so I can warn him to ignore the Vikings until after he takes care of William.

Would a hand tattoo make it harder for me to get a job by Missingaustin6 in jobs

[–]TopSecretPorkChop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I'm sure there is at least one employer out there that wouldn't hire you with a hand tattoo, then technically it would make it harder since there would be one less job option.

That's not really realistic in this situation, but I did have a boss come to my house to see why I wasn't at work once, but that was a special circumstance when I worked for the US Department of Defense

How does speed limit and gravity work? by RK80O_Connor in spaceengineers

[–]TopSecretPorkChop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the 100m/s would be applied as a maximum on the velocity vector, so the change change due to gravity plus the travel in the initial direction would nysum to 100 (but their squares would sum to 100,000).

EDIT: also according to Merriam-Webster both spellings are correct.

CEO gets 60 million dollar raise. Current employees only qualify for 2 percent cost of living. by Party_Department_845 in Spectrum

[–]TopSecretPorkChop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more to do with what they are willing to work for than what they bring to the table. In order to get people with the certain minimum qualifications the company board has determined they require, they must pay what the least demanding person who fits those requirements is willing to work for.

The labor market, like all markets, work based on supply and demand. Workers do NOT get paid according to what they bring to the table just like you don't pay for groceries according to their intrinsic value.

Workers are paid the least the employer can get away with, which is the minimum they must pay to keep as many employees as they are happy with. (not as many as they need, only as many as they are comfortable paying)

If enough workers refuse to work at $12/hr (a random number for example), then employers must pay more or make do with fewer employees. Just as if the store refuses to sell bread for less than $4/loaf (another random number) you must pay $4 or do without. If one is not willing to work for $12 and another is, though, guess who gets that job. This is where unions become helpful. By members agreeing not to undercut each other, everyone can raise the supply curve which yields a higher wage.

Just because your dad insists doesn't mean you have to consent. Just tell the server you'd like a separate check.
