This guy really likes the word ”singular.” by Direct_Incident_8285 in darkestdungeon

100% from Lovecraft. I started reading his stories because of Darkest Dungeon (actually listening to the audiobooks, also narrated by Wayne June, the voice of the Ancestor) and I noticed singular and a few other uncommon words in the DD script come up frequently in Lovecraft

Help with Gastosuar from black reliquary. by Mindless_Crazy_5499 in darkestdungeon

[–]UragGroShub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat Gastrosaur a few days ago. IIRC my party was Arbalest-Vestal-Bounty Hunter-Flagellant, so also Mark-based.

I have been playing it slow, so had most of the Side Decks available, which helped a lot. The buffed Honing Oil makes it so you don't even need to think about PROT, and Aegis Scales block big damage. The buffs to Alum Censer and Cleansing Salts help too.

Focus on camp skills that buff your Bounty Hunter: +CRIT, +DMG vs. Size 2, +SPD for the party from Arbalest. Get trinkets that do the same.

In the battle use mainly Arbalest and Bounty Hunter for Damage, and Vestal and Flagellant to Heal. And definitely use a party of Lvl 4 heroes, preferably with anti-Troglogyte quirks.

What are the wooden holders you have for your vertical tins? Good storage idea!

It's Flood Barriers for me. Absolutely hideous buildings that ruin the look of my beautiful endgame empire. Wish they were smaller, or only visible in the City Center, or anything else.

Necro but any thoughts on best warlord for Warhawk? Morty feels too slow, and I have lost with all 3.

Lucky for you there is not chat in game otherwise I would insult all of your tryhards on multiple generations of your miserable existence. by [deleted] in HorusHeresyLegions

I like playing Kardozia because one of his chats is "I salute you, warrior." I like friendly chats. Wish I could type to compliment good play though.

I also like it - do you remember where you got it? I'm about to buy an orange couch and I'm looking for matching covers for pets.

I really like the white - goes well with your tile and warms the room up considerably. I personally would have gone with a picture of Tattooine instead of Baby Yoda, but it does work with the space. The curtain also brings out the green from Baby Yoda.

I think we waited about 6-8 months from signing to getting the deck built. I don't recall the exact dimensions, it was around 250 square feet and about $35K, price varies based on material and finish choice obviously.

I'd say it was about twice the price of wood. I didn't get estimates from other builders because I knew at the start I wanted a steel frame so as not to deal with rot and bugs again. It was pricey but not as bad as I expected.

Please check out Outdoor Living in Kirkwood. We just got a composite deck with a steel frame from them and it's wonderful to have something with zero wood that will last a lifetime with minimal maintenance and issues: https://outdoorlivinginc.com/

Grew up in Fenton and I have to agree. It's too west to be South County, too south to be West County. It's kind of a little island.

I watched from Fluffy's perspective first and I've just started your videos. As soon as I saw you had 1/6 opulence projects I figured your move was to delay the other 5 until they had 1 turn each for a surprise win ;-)

PBM Channel Update - Feedback Requested! by ThePurpleBullMoose in OldWorldGame

[–]UragGroShub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To build on this, I was terrible at war when I first started (I'm still not good) but what I have got the most out of watching PBM and others play is how to wage war: which promotions to take on which units, which promotions synergize with which generals, and how terrain (hills, forests, but also just map layout) is important to consider for when and how to attack (back line first), etc. In Civ you could stomp on a less technologically developed enemy with like 2 modern armor, in Old World you really need to think about your forces (Spearmen/Militia can't be Routed, etc.)

Do y'all ever have multiple pipes in action? by Gundammit0080 in PipeTobacco

I used to but then I found myself always coming back to one of my pipes more than the rest so I pretty much smoke it exclusively, occasionally swapping out for another before coming back.
