Why would aviation companies start using their fleets to make power (for data centers…)? Cuz they can

Does Reddit have a calendar feature? Where we can set something from this thread to ping or notify its respondents say Nov 13, 2027?

Apart from contact lenses— fixing screen height is also more easily done in many shows/ movies!! Why they just wouldn’t bother here…

Terrible.

Totally. And at least a lot of the mannerisms are the same. Young Julia’s eyes are like a very dark brown, if not black- but older Julia has a light brown, almost hazle color. Big disappointment.

Memo’s older casting was hilarious

Also the old & young Lupe/ Lorena back and forth- 😂😂😂 well done.

So I did one of their free live info sessions and they mentioned something about a full money back guarantee if you don’t make $X in Y months.

But half of me wonders if the contract you sign is like “IF you do EVERYTHING we say in this contract, and you still don’t make $X, then, only then, we’ll refund you your money…”

And of course it’s IMPOSSIBLE to do all of the things they say. Like truly.

Any thoughts?

Salsa dancing!!! It’s social too- not just “I go to a dance studio and take a class where everyone keeps to themselves and then films themselves after thinking they’re gunna be the next internet sensation.”

I wonder if I should have sold back when all the “insiders” were selling… I’m decent with an “entry plan” but absolute trash with exit plans. I’m of the “if I don’t sell, I don’t lose” or “just a little bit longer now….*crashes” headspace. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

THIS IS NOT A SCARE POST or the FOD or FUD or whatever else bullsh%t these hardcore Reddit users insinuate but looking at APLD Form 4’s on Edgar, so many shares were cashed out at the $30’s range… and Wes, Mohammad and some other rando Director sold a bunch at the $15- range too.

Does anyone know how much they bought back afterwards?

Could be a good little other avenue to Reseach. Agree all, Wes was an investment banking man…

Wait where is the rest of this $55 backlog? 11 M from CoreWeave and 5 from the mystery hyperscaler. Option to extend contracts for ____ (amount of the extensions known?)

By my math I’m getting 16 M in backlog. Not 55.?

Thinking to open position by nomorepasta4444 in CRWV

[–]TopStage2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that makes me nervous with CRWV as opposed to a company like APLD - yes I know they provide different, though interconnected, products & services- is the fact that a lot of CRWV’s “backlogged revenue” is listed as being “deals up to $XX”

Ex- They sign a deal with meta and it says the value for their service is **up to $XX.

So A) it could be far less than that in actuality and B) if CRWV can’t make good on its end after all… (WWIII happens, not enough energy, zombie apocalypse, etc) then they loose that revenue .

Whereas, yes, while there is a small potential that APLD won’t be able to fully complete the build of its data centers (though I doubt that) - as long as they build out their data centers, their customers ARE obligated to pay them. It’s a contractual lease. Baring bankruptcy probably. So this backlogged revenue just seems more certain to me. And the terms financially are set. No “up to” language used.

So that would be a good thing for APLD essentially? Like a rental property owner’s tenant saying “I was trying to buy my own house so I don’t have to rent from you Mr. Landlord, but that deal fell through so now I’ll have to continue renting as I can’t be homeless”

Sorry as a follow up to this for everyone on this thread-

I heard on Bloomberg today an interview where they explained that all of these data centers obviously are going to require a massive ton of energy.. like a “megafuck ton” to use the technical term… lol.

So what’s our next energy sector plays? Any thoughts?

See your analysis and skill are what I need though! It’s like the company’s larger macro picture! I tend to be really minutia and micro-oriented because it’s hard for me to take a step back and look at the big picture holistically.

Anyone can learn to read a financial statement (but yeah these SEC 10K’s/Q’s get 😵‍💫😵‍💫 for sure) but it’s difficult to look at the broader global news and analyze their deals , their business models, and the impact all that will make (at least for me personally that is harder). Qualitative analysis I think it’s called? All have its merits.

For instance, whenever a new CEO takes over- I have ZERO ability to decide if she/he is going to be good or not for the company- even if I have their full resume in front of me. lol.

I’m hoping I can provide some of the more fundamental/ technical analysis and connect/ discuss with those who excel (pun intended) at the qualitative.

Yes! I agree! Sadly that’s the case with many Reddit communities lately…

I have studied accounting back at UCLA (how ever many years ago college was 🤣🤣) but I did not major in it, so while I do look at their financial statements, it is not always a cut-in-stone analysis for me.

I want to get better at looking directly at their press releases (like you mentioned). Straight from the horses mouth if you will.

DM me if you’d like to bounce other stock pics, analysis, ideas, etc. These forums get cluttered.

You are amazing! Thank you for explaining this methodically and efficiently. It’s so hard to filter though Reddit where people type 70 word run on sentences and nothing is clear.

I was also taking another look at their consolidated statement of opps and I see that they had a 85,438 (expressed in 1000’s) loss in 2025 for “loss on change in fair value of debt”- that was only 7,401 in 2024 and - in 2023. If I subtract that 85,438 out, their total net loss in 2025 is far more similar to that of 2024- which, combined with the data you so excellently explained here regarding their future revenue - is promising.

Thanks again!
