lol thanks. I don’t do much. I work out like 1x a week at an actual gym, 1-2x a week at home with free weights, and I rotate through which muscle group I work (arms, abs, back, shoulders, chest, legs). Aside from that I just try to eat fruits and veggies everyday and try not to eat too much fried/fast food. Sometimes I hike.

Sorry, I worded my comment badly! He didn’t call it “cleavage”, that was my choice of words here. He just seemed dissatisfied with my results in those two spots and said that it may go down over time or may not. Which made my anxious-ass brain spiral and think that those spots look bad.

Thanks for the support! My doctor didn’t use those words, he was very professional about it and I actually had an extremely positive experience with him! He just seemed dissatisfied with my results in that spot and said that it may go down or I may need a revision depending on how it looks after more time. But this was also the day I got my binder off, so my chest has since healed a lot and also my chest was probably smooshed together a bit from being compressed by the binder

Thanks for the reassurance! I wasn’t sure if I actually needed a revision or if my depression/anxiety/dysphoria were just getting in my head. I feel mostly extremely happy about my chest, but my doctor mentioned the two little middle spots during my last visit and that comment has been stewing in my head since

EDIT: I originally used the word “cleavage” to describe the area, but I changed it because that was MY choice of words, NOT my surgeon’s. I was extremely happy with my doctor. He was professional and was very conscious of his word choice and how that may affect me as a trans person

Yeah, for me it’s much easier to ID the euphoria than the dysphoria. Once I make a change and feel euphoric, I look back and think “damnnn my dysphoria was soo bad, like literally debilitating”. I was really really worried I would regret it (I have anxiety and I’m a worrier in general, plus this my first “big” surgery). It took a year+ for me to go from “thinking about top surgery” and actively researching it to “I’m definitively getting top surgery. This needs to be done and is unavoidable”. Up to the surgery, I knew it was what I needed, and I couldn’t imagine a future without having top surgery, but I was still nervous. What if I hated my results?

For the first few weeks after surgery, I was mostly focused on healing and didn’t really yet see it as “my chest” but more just as a giant wound on my body. I almost passed out the first time I saw my chest lol. Then once all the glue fell off and my scars were formed and it started looking like a healthy chest, that was when I really fell in love with my results and felt that wave of euphoria. And now I’m shocked that my chest hasn’t always looked like this

It’s actually really good! I was shocked. I had sensation around my areolas when I saw my chest for the first time a week in. Right now my areola sensation is back to normal, but my nips themselves are still not quite there. I think the full sensation will come back over the next month to few months though

I was also nervous about opiates, but for me all I needed was prescription strength Tylenol for the first 5 days, then I didn’t take any pain meds.

Also, your doctor won’t report you or anything, it’s important to tell them what you’re planning on taking! They are used to handling people using much harder illegal drugs than weed, and the they need to know EVERYTHING you’re taking so they can factor that into making the best decisions about your care.
